GJK
Oh boy, 11000 post of either yup!, or nope! I'm still stuck on 9600 baud dial-up. I started downloading the 1.0.1 patch 3 weeks ago, 16% done now!

notalex
DSL. Quite apart from the speed, what I like about it is that the Internet is a single mouse click away. Much better than writing addresses and topics down all day to check out when the phone line's free.
bodman
I would rather get a divorce than go without my RoadRunner. Beep Beep
Hurricane
Same as Boo_Radley, modem at home, so I download all stuff at work and burn on CD. A 56K modem works perfectly ok for TCP/IP and PBEM:s. I am still waiting for the energy company to come and install broadband through the electricity net so I finally can get rid of my line phone. REVS
I've got both. The cable here in Sydney (via Bigpond) seems to be down about once a week for a couple of hours at a time, so then it's back to the dial-up modem on the laptop (for email only). Working in publishing, I often have to download Indesign documents about 20MB or more in size. With the cable that takes about 20-25 seconds to download. Whoosh! With the little dial-up modem it takes so long I don't even bother to try. Cable seems unreliable here in Australia, but it's mighty fast.

ParaBellum
DSL, love it! Although I somehow miss the joys of downloading SPWAW (400+MB)with my 56k modem and then got a corrupted file when trying to install it...
