There is something immensely charming with a big tank with a too big gun. Kinda reminds me of those guns in MIB or something like that. Showed my girlfriend the map at the end of QB#3 and there were just little eliminated bodies all around the 2 shell craters. BTW, the AI autosurrendered after the 2nd shot into his inf reduced his fighting force from 300+ to about 20-30 able bodies. :eek: Keep watching the mailbox...soon it will be there. First of all, I forgot to turn the rarity off, so they costed 1400+ points a piece in '45. Secondly, the computer froze after setup. My Sturmtigers never got to fire! Anyways, the stories above are hilarious. Personally, I prefer the Brummbar and StuH'42 for most heavy infantry killing situations. The Brummbar is quite expensive, almost as much as a Panther. The StuH'42 is as inexpensive as the rest of the StuG family. The StuH'42 has a respectable 105mm gun and a nice loadout. The Brummbar on the other hand is well armored, well armed with the 150mm gun, and a fair loadout for such a big round. I prefer the Brummbar when I expect alot of nasty Russian AT tricks like in dense terrain. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Make sure you protect them with escort AT and AA assets, too. And make sure you try them in city assaults! Nothing beats leveling whole blocks at a time. I'm thinking that it won't be to hard for a decent gunner to put a HE round in that hole at medium distance. I know this is dredging up the past but I got 2 KO's yesterday. Been messing around with importing maps into QB's and KO'd 2 Sturmtigers w/ captured Panthers in 1 QB. Even though I had KV-1's and some Ruskie TD's nothing did these badboys in. BTW, all my armor had rear shots when AI turned to move to flags and I popped up behind them. Shot for 2-3 rounds before killing 'em. mike the wino2 Posted October 22, 2002 Share Posted October 22, 2002 I have seen it all now. Twice now I have seen IS-3's shrug off a Sturmtiger shell. Should have taken screenies. Well maybe not shrug off, guns damaged but crew still intact. Try it at home and you will see...just use a lot of them. Additionally, M4A2 Sherman (76), I think thats what its called, and T-34/85 (44) will both penetrate/ KO sturmtigers from side or back side. Front is too heavily armored. Haven't found lowest caliber to immobilize, KO, or destroy yet. Still working. Ligur Posted October 22, 2002 Share Posted October 22, 2002 OMG I tried it too, I had no clear picture of the horrible blast radius before I actually witnessed the first shot taking out 365 Russian Guards in a pretty broad map. The occasional squad got shaken or casualties on the other side of the frigging map! (2000 pts map, small, village, its still a 1000m across or something). After 3 other shots the Russian surrendered, 800 casualties, 70 captured and 6 got away. I noticed that infantry behind a patch of woods or a heavy building could get away pretty well, considering, but in the open a 250m radius was filled with corpses and "eliminated" tags.
