Ace Pilot
Justed wanted to say thanks to Treeburst for organizing this, and to Scott and the gang at Boots and Tracks for providing a prize. You guys keep this up and soon we'll be expecting commemorative T-shirts just for participating! Looking forward to seeing who will be abusing me on the battlefield! Treeburst155
OK, the deadline for main event replacements to switch to this tourney has passed. This is the list of players for the overflow tourney, along with replacements. If you see a number by your name, you are IN. If you see a letter, you are a replacement. The tourney has 24 players. If you are a replacement, don't give up yet. We'll probably lose a few when I pass out the contact lists and game schedules. A few have probably forgotten they even signed up. Overflow Tourney Roster: 1) Lindan 2) Egbert 3) Bullitt 4) Riverrat 5) Ivan_RU 6) Knaust 7) Ace Pilot 8) Liken 9) c3K 10) Asschen 11) Uberman 12) Becket 13) SgtGoody 14) Jussi Kohler (mit umlaut) 15) Barrage 16) PBIman 17) Moosehead 18) Cuzn 19) Beckman 20) NotreDame89 21) Diceman 22) Gnuif 23) Hardcampa 24) PK Replacements: A) Vihkr Sgt Kelly C) Topi D) Panzerdude E) Londoner Now I have several hours of work to do to get this thing off the ground. I think I can safely say that you will be able to start doing setups by Sunday evening. Sections will be chosen at random and posted to this thread. You will also receive emails toward the end of this week. Hang in there. You'll be on the Russian front in less than a week. Treeburst155
Hi Guys! I've been at work 30 of the last 48 hours. I managed to put together the randomly selected sections (drawn out of a hat). Here they are: Section 1 1) Becket, jeff_cross@aporter.com 2) Knaust, roby@teleion.it 3) NotreDame89, b-kindt@tamu.edu 4) Gnuif, gnuif@xs4all.nl 5) Egbert, honeybeeman@attbi.com 6) Ace Pilot, acepilot88@yahoo.com Section 2 7) Uberman, pcoxford@attbi.com 8) Lindan, lindan@portalofevil.com 9) Riverrat, Riverrat945@aol.com 10) Jussi_Kohler, jussi.kohler@welho.com 11) Cuzn, fvisintini@nyc.rr.com 12) Moosehead, moosehead@softhome.net Section 3 13) Hardcampa, hardcampa@home.se 14) PK, pbkuk@yahoo.co.uk 15) Beckman, tdfxman@yahoo.com 16) Asschen, asschen@pandora.be 17) Diceman, escurlock@surfbest.net 18) c3K, c3k@cshore.com Section 4 19) PBIman, stuart.m.harrison@talk21.com 20) Barrage, drhall_009@yahoo.com 21) Liken, sdingman@u.washington.edu 22) Bullitt, yammit@o2.ie 23) Ivan_RU, garnit@online.ru 24) SgtGoody, sgtgdy@netscape.net You will play only those in your section. If you win your section, you will play the other three section winners for the prize. I have one withdrawal. "Liken" has had to bow out. That means Vihkr will be offerred the first shot at filling Liken's slot. The replacement list looks like this: A) Vihkr (slot offerred) Sgt Kelly C) Topi D) Panzerdude E) Londoner Inspite of work, I'm still looking at having you guys on the Eastern front by Sunday night. Treeburst155
Becket, I'll be sure your email address is changed when I send the Contact List out. EVERYTHING will happen tomorrow, Contact Lists, game schedules, scenario briefings, passwords, and game files for the German side to start the PBEMs. I hope to have all this done by tomorrow night (GMT -6). I don't have to work tomorrow!! Knaust, The hat is a rather high quality baseball style hat. In fact, it's probably the nicest baseball cap I've ever seen, except for one thing. There's a big patch on the front advertising the "Viagra Racing Team". I got it from my 78 year old neighbor who barely speaks English. I can't bring myself to wear it, so it serves as my random schedule generator. Treeburst155 out.
Treeburst155
I forgot one important thing I wanted to begin doing that Beckman reminds me of in his post above. One player in each section will play 4 games as the Allies. All other players will be 3-2 or 2-3. I can manipulate who this player is by the order I list the players in the scheduling program's input file. Do I have any volunteers for the 4 Allied games? Beckman
I'll take it because I thought I already had it with the 3rd slot. It will be a good learning experience. Beckman PS can ya make a note so that next tourney that does not happen though?
