  1. Ehm ... where is Diceman, anyone fighing him? [ February 18, 2003, 01:44 PM: Message edited by: hardcampa ]
  2. K since I totally refuse to read responses with more than 3 lines what's this debate about? Someone that doesn't understand how to use the scenario editor to make fair games?
  3. Guys don't forget that they fixed these issues in the latest patch (1.02): * Corrected problems with units becoming excessively exhausted such that recovery took too long. * Support weapons are less likely to switch to "sneak" movement when coming under only modest incoming fire. I think these two things might "speed" things up a bit as well.
  4. I stand corrected if that's the case Still don't see why that would take so much cpu power though as it would be like shooting a ball from the gun towards the target and do the math on that. There must be some other projectile calculations involved that are hard which I fail to see.
  5. Eh? Shells not tracked? Of-course shells are tracked in CMBB/CMBO. Collision checking of vehicle models though, that may not be done. Beats me why though as collision checking on polygon levels are done in many FPS games with lots of objects. But CM still owns. [ February 14, 2003, 07:05 AM: Message edited by: hardcampa ]
  6. As edgar says you use a "Virtual CD manager" of some sort, this will work on PC as well. I just tried to create a copy of my original CD with "Virtual CD" for PC. It works. It seems as game companies in general release a no CD patch together with a normal patch after the game has sold enough. Otherwise (if you don't select to find a NO-CD crack) this is a good option to keep the original CD safe. [ February 14, 2003, 06:42 AM: Message edited by: hardcampa ]
  7. So your point is to remove operations which works fine just because you don't like them?
  8. try ftp to get the patches instead [ February 13, 2003, 09:54 AM: Message edited by: hardcampa ]
  9. I rather upgrade as that gets rid of the problem where tanks shoot into the ground infront of themselves. I've already seen an enemy tank do nothing but shoot into the ground during 2 turns in one of the scenarios I'm playing. Even though this might be beneficial for me. It totally destroys the "sim" feeling.
  10. * Ampulomets are properly textured. No more Obi Wan Kanobi with a lightsabre...Insane joy [ February 12, 2003, 08:51 AM: Message edited by: hardcampa ]
  11. Since all of you ungrateful bastards and don't have any manners (just kidding) Thanx for the patch Battlefront. And yes I noticed the OTHER thread too late [ February 12, 2003, 07:56 AM: Message edited by: hardcampa ]
  12. Updated One Click To Combat v1.0.5.2 Added a refresh button to the main window instead of just in the menu. Zip should work now. So you can activate that option again. I still need someone with CDV to try it out. Even better I would like to see someone volunteer as a labrat
  13. I'm just wondering. Wouldn't it be neat with a 3rd party forum here, I mean this is Battlefront the center of the universe for many =P. Where people making utilities for CM:BO CM:BB could talk about coding, skinning, textures techniques etc? I find myself talking in the normal forums about stuff I rather talk about in a forum dedicated to such things. It's just a thought. Of-course if no-one is interested there's no point.
  14. Just a thought. As it can be real hard to remember/know when people you play against take vacations or whatever, I could host an online calendar where you simply mark the days weeks you will be away. So the rest of the guys know. Just a thought, I would attach that calendar to a forum (phpBB) so you can talk about why what when how who etc...
  15. Nice Fuerte thanx. Hope you understand my view better now. A question. The CDV screens it opens, won't those dissappear if you send an escape (or 2) on the queue? Just wondering if you've tried it?
  16. Fuerte chill out.. I mean, seriously. I converted One Click to Combat just because I wanted to check the code out and because it's a neat, extremely simple utility. Simplicity is good. I don't see any reason at all to make a big issue out of this. I mean your PBEM Helper is great, if people want to use your application hell yeah why not. Whatever helps Combat Mission I'm all for. Heh, I find this debate a little funny. I still have some issues with the code to go through (when I get some more time to do it, perhaps tonight). The zip compression is a bit sketchy, I suggest not using it for now (uncheck the zip button), as I have had some issues with it, this is kinda wierd as I haven't changed the zip code anything at all from the original, perhaps it needed fixing if so I'll do it as soon as I can, I know zip is something all of us want. The reason to why the CDV version is causing trouble is probably because it wants to play some intro movie am I right on this? If someone with the CDV version feels like a labrat. Let me know and I'll send you an updated version. [ February 09, 2003, 11:26 AM: Message edited by: hardcampa ]
  17. Butofcourse. They can run their engines and wear a frown. The more combat bonus the deeper the frown and the higher their engines can go...
  18. I'm not going to flame you since you're just a sitting duck for that. But, I still don't understand exactly what you mean. If you want to encircle you set that up in the scenario editor. What's the big deal? The topic is stupid btw.. you're trolling with that.
  19. I don't have access to a CDV version of CMBB. Could you guys tell me what the exe is called and what the process is using for a name? That is, open the taskmanager and look in the "Applications" tab what it's called.
  20. I assume you are joking as you can have no idea of what I PLAN to add. [ February 07, 2003, 05:11 PM: Message edited by: hardcampa ]
  21. Hi, I have converted Kyles "CM: One Click To Combat" from CMBO to CMBB now. Kyle was kind enough to share the sources for this great utility, making it possible for me to convert it. One Click to Combat is a PBEM utility. This utility will manage your PBEM files and launch CMBB with the passwords for them (you only need to type the passwords once and the tool will remember them) you can also tell the tool to zip PBEM files that exceed X kilobytes before it sends them to your opponent. It sorts the PBEM files so you know which PBEMs you still have to play and which you have to send. I can see a lot of improvements and features that can be added to this utility and I hope to add more things in the future. You can download it by clicking this link: CMOneClickCMBB.zip There might still be some timing issues. However as I only got one computer that runs windows, I need you guys to try it for me, feel free to give me feedback. [ February 07, 2003, 10:36 AM: Message edited by: hardcampa ]
