Gyrene
That was a pretty good video capture job, but the frame rate of the movie is too high, it looks a lot like those early B&W movies from the 1920's. Not bad overall. Glad to see someone else is trying to make movies out of CM. What software did you use to grab the video? Gyrene
Valve28
Also ich muss erst mal Deinen Text übersetzen Alles versteh ich nicht!!!! MFG Valve
Pvt. Ryan
That was pretty cool. Lower the frame rate as Gyrene suggested, and add some mods if your computer can handle it.
Gyrene
Goanna
Yeah, what he said. You can also make a movie capture using Snapz Pro from Ambrosia on the Mac, but I haven't tried to shoot CM with it . . . yet. www.ambrosiasw.com

Gyrene
I used Altavista to write all that Germanese, so it's bound to be hilarious to anyone who actually speaks German. Goanna, I've used Snapz Pro with CM with good success. Gyrene
Goanna
Gyrene, I know you can get the clips with Snapz Pro, but do you know if there is a way to paste them together end to end to make a movie of longer than one minute? I thought it would be kinda cool to lock view to (say) a particular tank on view 2 and get about 5 minutes worth of movie all together.
Michael Dorosh
ich hatte eine kameraden....nice song...I thought it was part of the video til I realized the video hadn't loaded yet!
Gyrene
Goanna, there are several different ways to splice your movies together, the cheapest way would be with QuickTime Pro & iMovie. Here's one I put together with After Effects & Snapz Pro. Gyrene

Kurtz
Cool! How was it captured? VirtualDub is a nice and free (GPL) program to edit avi-movies. It's able to lower framerates and cut / append movies. Unfortunately, it can't capture movies from the screen. Thanks, Dave

I can see the one Gryrene posted but I'm on a Mac using IE (or netscape it does not matter), and I cannot see the one valve28 posted. His site ONLY works in IE on the mac and I still cannot see his video as it does not open in Quicktime. what plugin does his streaming video require ?? any other mac users out there that can see his video? Let me know I am curious thanks -tom w
Gyrene
Tom, I got his video to play on my Mac, click on this link to get the Divx Codec you'll need to see Valve's video. You'll need to drag the codec to your extensions folder and reboot. Kurtz: Which capture job do you mean? Mine or Valve's? Gyrene

More of this kind of battle field Combat Mission "in-game" capture footage ( ok, digital footage) should be used for promotional purposes. Nice work guys.
