Old Batch Files and CMMOS
Capt Canuck replied to Capt Canuck's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Thank you very much for all the replies... All of the old and sadly now unused Batch Files are now history! Thank you very much again, Dave -
After using CMMOS ever since it came out, I went looking through my CMBO Directory(C:/Program Files/CMBO) and found that I still had all the old Batch Files and Icons.... My question is whether I deleted these,...Would it affect CMMOS at all in its function? DOes CMMOS depend upon these old Batch Files? Thank you very much, Dave

Forgotten Mods : TREES requested !!
Capt Canuck replied to Pascal DI FOLCO's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
My Grandfather has a Fairbairn-Sykes Commando Knife! He received it from a friend who went on the Raid on St Nazaire. They traded weapons in Piccadilly Square, he traded a triple barrel shotgun he 'liberated' from the Town Square in Kiel for the knife. Interesting... BTW!! I agree...who would like to do a HR tree base? I have never modded! But I do love the work of all of those who do! Dave -

<<"Or maybe it was just a Jumbo fighting a Panther in the streets of Berlin." ??????????? Were there any Pershings or Jumbos delivered to the Russians? I thought the Russians took Berlin? Or am I missing something here????? >> I believe the video was shot in the ruins of Hamburg, a very frightening video indeed. There were Shermans in the Russien Tank Armies though, but I'm pretty sure they were only earlier models, and not many to say the least. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Dave

Capt Canuck replied to Dark Knight's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I feel for you Dark Knight. It took nearly FOUR months for my Mom to order the game because she felt unsure about the ordering system. So, be prepared for a long drawn out confrontation in front of you! If I may suggest, draw a topographical map on a wall in your house, draw out battle lines, create OOB's for opposing sides get out some markers, and have your "own" battle on the wall. The suggest that it may have been easier to do this on the computer with CMBO! Then pack your bags and expect to receive your copy of CMBO at Military School! FYI- This is not proven to work! Good luck though! -
Bumpin' to keep it on the first page! I Love CMMOS!!! Thank You to EVERYONE involved!!!! Dave

I'm just about finished working on a huge scenario! As the Germans, you must fight a delaying action in one section (a ruined/burning city) of the huge map and fanatically assault the other end to break-out.(making it too hard for the AI) Its a combined arms scenario, mixed forces for the Germans(SS, Heer, FJ, Volkstrumm) As the American be-siegers, you are to simply crush the pocket. It's an evening scenario so visibilty is low making it very exciting and unpredictable. Strength is about a Battalion per side (+reinforcements)making this quite complex, and tactically challenging. The size of the map and the terrain+units may slow down lower end machines, like mine-a PII 300Mhz with 128MB RAM and GeForce 2MX 32MB. Just finished it up and doing some *final* touch ups, so if ou are interested in testing this, be sure you have a partner, (because it wouldn't be too much fun against a crazy computer.) And expect delivery within a week. Please contact via e-mail or leave a message on this board. Thank you very much David E-mail- tulliofascinato@home.com

it would be nice to see these,...But since only 89 were built between Dec 44 and March 45, they would be really quite rare. OBTW it did house the 7.5cm Pak40 L/46. Dave
