Phantom Captain
Just wanted to see everyone's PBEM CM experience level? Are you a regular, vet, elite?? I'm just curious how much everyone else does. Currently I have 5 PBEMs going against three different people. Theaters in play right now are 2 RT, 1 BN, 1 FB and 1 FI. Who are the warriors out there? As a 'modern virgin' the last is rather scary. I normally have one or two RTs going but not at the moment.
Probus
Five in total although 2 are mirrored. 4 FB and 1 BN. Just finished a SF2. What do you think of CW @Vacillator?
Centurian52
I have five going right now. One CMFI, one CMCW, and three CMBN.
Brille
At the moment Im doing 4 games but one is at a really slow burner. Turn rate of my oponent there is several weeks or months even. 1 CMBN, 1 CMRT, 2 CMFB. That would be my comfort zone actually, especially when the games last longer turn-wise. As mentioned elsewhere, having never played a battle in any modern title, I accepted a challenge from our good friend @Ultradave to play 'Czechmate' with me as Soviets. To encourage me () he said this was pretty much what he trained for in RL. Great way to start, right? It's a very nice map and I'm starting to enjoy it but having initially lost several vehicles to TOWs from invisible launchers I'm being a bit more cautious and beginning to get spots on some of his units. Not knowing much about modern weapons is a concern, as is my lack of long range AT assets at the current stage of the game - I have (sorry had) 4 T62s (now 3) but nothing else with range. That will change when the main force arrives. None if this will come as a surprise to Dave so I'm not giving away much intel. Overall, I think if I view the exercise as a lesson from the master I will hopefully not be too disappointed when I lose...
PEB14
Presently playing 3 PBEM (1 CMFI, 1 CMRT, 1 CMFB) with another CMFi about to start. Turn rates ranges between 1-2 per week to 1-2 per day. Looks like 4-5 PBEM is standard for most of us...
Centurian52
I have finished one PBEM. So now I've "only" got four ongoing. One CMFI, one CMCW, and two CMBN.

But since I retired at the end of April only it’s increasing now…

Indeed, I was about to ask you since a long time now, but hardly managed to serve ongoing commitments in the last years. Any preferences? Dropbox or PBEM++? Otherwise, CW seems appropriate. Sounds like we both are kind of newbies in that one. I have been there in RL, but looking at my placement, my active service time would have lasted for an hour or so. slysniper
I found 3 to 5 games is a good amount. If you find someone that does multible turns a day, then the 3 games make more sence. If everyone is only managing a turn a day at the most, then 5 is better. If someone only does a turn or 2 a week, they are a lost contact to me after one game.

More of an invitation than a challenge . I'm just back after some RL things and I have a few 'testing commitments' and a few PBEMs (sorry to those involved) so I should probably try to clear a few of those first. Otherwise I can do Dropbox (have done a lot) or PBEM++ (doing my first). And CW is still a bit of a mystery but I'm being taught by a master. The lesson is a harsh one... I also have another CW 'challenge' to honour but we could set up a game if you have one in mind?
Ithikial_AU
Back in the day (before COVID sometime) ran a survey of the membership of the FGM. Came back with the following results. Players generally had 2 - 4 games on the go and would process around 3 - 5 turns per week, though a fair number would go above 6 per week or pretty much one a day. Basically if you are a PBEM player that can send back a turn after work five days a week (or catch up on weekends) then you are pretty much on the mark.

I proposed CW, because you seem to be fairly new to it and I, too, have only very limited experience. I played perhaps 2 or 3 scenarios, but never got really hooked. Otherwise, I would be open for any WW2 title. Just drop me a line, when you are ready to start a game and we take it from there. But no need to rush.
Andrew Kulin
Doing eight. I am participating in two tournaments so four of those are mirrored games (2x2)
