Scenario Editor

Hello, I can’t modify Saved Games in the Editor and if i move a Saved Game into the Scenario Folder and rename it that doesn’t work. The Editor can’t see the details in the game

None of us can my friend. Saved games are not editable. Only the regular .btt files which are scenarios BEFORE play starts.

It just reads the folders as they are on your hard drive. You can make custom folders and put specific things in them. Like your scenarios, downloaded scenarios... etc.

If you are refering to the LOAD-button then that is avaliable to allow scenario designers to reload work-in-progress scenarios that they are currently doing design work on. It is not intended to load actual saved 'game files'...

The map on a savedgame would be no different from the original scenario map, barring some craters, busted fences, blown-out building facades and collapsed bridges. You can add craters, busted fences, blown-out building facades and collapsed bridges in the editor, yourself! 

As to forces, you can switch tanks to 'destroyed' or 'burning', you can reduce the infantry headcount, drop their morale and reduce their ammo. So you could alter a scenario to resemble the point at which you wished the scenario had started.

It is getting a bit easier to model ruined terrain, but that's just not the same as persistent map damage, quite apart from anything else it's impossible to model progressive damage to an area as each player will wreck stuff in his own personal way.

This feature should be a priority for the next CM engine IMHO, losing it was one of the few retrograde steps between CM1 & CM2 (in some ways CM1 had better options for handling campaigns).
