Also western movies with James Stewart, John Wayne and others. I certainly enjoy one or two as you can probably tell I do like how the genre keeps redefining itself with new twists. For me by far the best Western of the 90's. I watched it about 6 or 8 times in a cinema and approx umpteenth times on TV, VCR, DVD and BD. The only other Western movies, which I remember off hand from the 90's, are Silverado and and Maverick. But they are a different class all together. But not too bad, though. Soldier Blue and Little Big Man stuck with me, because they add some pretty ugly illustration to Dee Brown's (otherwise quite dry) book "Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee". Speaking of which did anyone mention "The Big Valley" with Richard Widmark, Barbara Stanwyk, Gregory Peck and Charleton Heston? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big_Country Lawrence of Arabia could be described as one of the best movies ever. The Grey Fox was a good (but forgotten) movie, although as is usual, the history is all wrong. Barbarossa is another forgotten classic. My ultimate fave, I think.
