WickedLiquids
I just purchased the game a couple weeks ago. I am having a problem determining if my vehicles will cross certain river fords. I understand the deep ford/ shallow ford concept but I cannot visually distinguish if the crossing will allow vehicles to cross or if it is infantry only. Is there a "map key" that I've missed somewhere? If you have an answer please post it as soon as practicable. Mein Führer is already upset that I have not yet crossed this river! Best not to disappoint. . . .
MOS:96B2P
If you hold the vehicle movement icon over the ford location the icon will be the normal green if the vehicle can cross or red if it cannot cross. Edit: You can use this same procedure to identify additional unknown ford locations. Edited September 13, 2015 by MOS:96B2P
WickedLiquids
Thanks so much MOS. I'll give it a try.
Bud Backer
If you know which map you are going to be playing on you can also load it in the editor and see the tiles uses to make up the body of water you wish to cross. You can see deep and shallow ford tiles clearly then and understand your options better. Why bother with this in the editor before a battle? Because you may choose different forces depending on how easily you (or your enemy) can cross a water obstacle. Just something to consider...
c3k
You can also put the camera into the deep part of the water obstacle and "swim" along. You'll be able to spot the shallow areas easily, and then you can use the movement cursor to verify if that shallow zone allows vehicles to cross.
MOS:96B2P
Here is a screenshot of an opposed river crossing at a shallow ford. This is from the Scenario of the month (Assault) over at The Blitz. It reminded me of this topic and I wanted to test the posting of screenshots with the new forum design. Edit: It worked, but I did not see the preview post or the spoiler hide option thing. Edited September 16, 2015 by MOS:96B2P

Magnificent!
A Canadian Cat
For starters I agree with @womble - very cool screen shot. Edit: It worked, but I did not see the preview post or the spoiler hide option thing. Yeah, there have been a few changes here that I am not 100% sure of yet. It does seem like a better WYSIWYG though so perhaps preview is not needed.
womble
Nice as it is to be agreed with (and we do agree), I'm wondering how you knew
A Canadian Cat
Oops. I agree with @Bud_B that the screen shot is really cool. It sounds like @womble agrees with Bud too.

kohlenklau
I had made this guide for fords but maybe should revise it for vehicles...
Bulletpoint
I don't know about those fords, @Kohlenklau... terrain looks good, but there's not much cover, and it might be an opposed crossing!
