Amadeus
I must play it! Hey man when and how?
Xenon 141
From the announcement: "Both packs are in parallel development. Assault on Communism will be released first within the next 6-8 weeks, with Assault on Democracy following within 6-8 weeks after that." Still 12 - 14 weeks to wait for AoD..... by far too long!!! Really looking forward to the extended worldmap and the hypothetical campaigns!
abukede
I know its killing you to wait on AoD... but the wait will be worth it. AoC is just as awesome an expansion. Operation Barbarossa is an incredible campaign on a grand level. Check out the walkthrough. http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=109038
SeaMonkey
I'll be purchasing AoD just for the new supply rules!
SeaMonkey
I noticed no "Special Forces" in the unit pools, does that mean we are getting "new" amphib rules? OK nix that, I saw SF on Abukede's "Detailed Loss" screen, but what about those "amphib rules"?
Big Al
There are special forces in the pool. You probably saw Solomons 42 campaign in which you have Marines (with proper military symbol).
Hubert Cater
No new amphib rules for this release but perhaps for SC3 when that time comes

Altaris
So how would this work for someone who doesn't have the base game yet? Would AoD require someone new to Global Conflict to buy the base game, the gold upgrade, and then AoD? Or would AoD also contain the gold upgrade? Trying to figure out how the cost works. xwormwood
You need the base game to play AoD.
Altaris
So how will pricing work exactly? Will it be a bundle package for Base Game + AoD (like how WW1 + Breakthrough currently has)? Was thinking about getting Global Conflict this weekend, but if it's going to be cheaper to buy it in a bundle package with AoD in a few weeks, I'd prefer to wait. Hubert Cater
Hi Altaris, As far as I know AoD and AoC will not be bundled with Global. I hope this helps, Hubert
DrunkenLuftwaffe
Hubert, is it possible to find out definitively one way or another whether or not there will be a package deal? I've got no problem with laying out the $45 for GC Gold and $25 each for the expansions...but I'd be PO'd if I do that and then there's a package deal in a couple of weeks. Moon
It's definitive, the two expansions won't be available as a bundle.
