GerryCMBB
Hello All: I think I have only 1 patch installed - my CMBN is version 1.10. Is there a later patch? Thanks, Gerry
BigDork
1.10 is the latest.
Hister
I do wonder though when the next one is coming roughly? I haven't spotted any official news on the matter. Some rather big issues are in the game that ought to be fixed. Hope I won't have to wait until 2.0 engine arrives although I've read some inherent issues were ported over to Fortress Italy.
Fizou
Hister, I think I have read that the CMBN patch 1.20 will be out by the time 2.0 will be available for purchase.
Hister
OK, I guess I have missed that part then. Thank you. We are looking at 2 months probably then right?
Lt Belenko
OK, I guess I have missed that part then. Thank you. We are looking at 2 months probably then right? A few months after the release of CMFI was mentioned for CMBN 2.0 a while back.
Hister
Up to 3 months then. Ugh.
Vanir Ausf B
CMBN v1.11 Patch (free, no charge) will come out fairly soon after Italy ships. CMBN v2.00 Upgrade ($10) will probably come out a couple months after. CMBN Market Garden, without the Upgrade, will probably come out a couple of months later. ........................
MikeyD
Theoretically they'd want to shoe-horn in the v1.11 patch before the v2.0 upgrade, though I don't know if doing that would make matters more or less confusing. You can already see the very pretty reworked Comonwealth Wespe in CMFI. And Marder I, Lynx and KT are due to get the same treatment. I wonder if they're going to retrofit Stuarts and M8 ACs with canister.
Vanir Ausf B
You can already see the very pretty reworked Comonwealth Wespe in CMFI. I wasn't aware the Brits made them too. I bet the licensing negotiations were a little tense
GerryCMBB
Wondering the same about the canister. Just using it now in CMFI. Bloody hellfire. Poor troops is all I can think. And then we want to fry them as well with FTs! Hister
Ah that's very good! Can't wait to get the patch in my hands - I hope it addresses the majority of reported major problems!
GerryCMBB
Hello All: Thinking about installing CMBN again because of Bil's training scenarios. I realize I will have to buy the 2.0 engine upgrade or the MG + Upgrade bundle. Assume I am starting the install with the original CMBN. Do I need to install a series of patches too or is it a case of the original CD plus the 2.0 engine upgrade? I am confused! Bil also mentions CMBN 2.10. I believe this means a future patch after the engine upgrade? Thanks, Gerry
Brindlewolf
CMBN then CW(if you have it brings it up to 1.10) then 1.11 patch.Upgrade brings it to version 2.0 then there's a 2.01 patch that should bring you up to date bud. Bils using MG beta version i think which brings the game to 2.10 when it comes out.
GerryCMBB
Thanks. I don't have CW so do I need a 1.10 patch before the 1.11 patch or are patches cumulative (I think they are?)? Gerry
Brindlewolf
Just add them in order to be on the safe side bud.I normally do.
GerryCMBB
Another question. Is it true for Windows 7 users that the PBEM folder is located under the user's profile and you cannot change it to be under the CMBN installation folder? Thanks, Gerry
Vanir Ausf B
I have not heard that rumor before. But I have Win 7 and the PBEM folders are in the main CMBN directory by default. E:\CMBN\Game Files\Incoming Email on my comp
GerryCMBB
I just install it now and it put the game folder and PBEM folders in the C:\Users\username\Documents\Battlefront\Combat Mission Battle for Normandy folder. So both folders are in the same location. Gerry

It makes running multiple versions extremely difficult because the older games show up as playable in the newer installs and you can accidentally upgrade. When the first patch to CMFI came out I asked them to change it so it was configurable in the install. I really hope they do that otherwise or PBEM lives are going to become more and more complicated.
Col Deadmarsh
I've just upgraded to CMBN v2.0. Then I notice that there's a 2.01 patch for the Commonweath module but not for the regular CMBN basic game. Why is this?
Brindlewolf
The patch is for CMBN or CMBN/CW.When you load up the patch it will ask you which version you wish to patch.Just tick the appropriate box.

Ok, I see it now...half way down the page. :confusion: You'd think the patch to the base game would be the first one you see...
Brindlewolf
You won't regret buying the upgrade.Beware though,MGs will now be brutal
