umlaut Posted April 8, 2012 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Hi Just finished my first attempt at modding since CMBB - The Lynx in a dirty version that could go with Aris´brilliant mods. Not that I´m in any way trying to move in on Aris´ turf. I don´t have his ambition and certainly not his talent. I just realised that I wouldn´t be playing Kampfgruppe Engel until I could use a Lynx that didn´t stand out like a sore thumb amongst the other vehicles. And as I could foresee that Aris might take months to get to the Lynx - in spite of his amazing productivity - there was not other alternative than to try to do it myself. Hope you like it - feel free to comment (though I wont promise to make changes). I´ll try to upload it tonight. We need as many Modders as we can get. The more variety the better it is for everybody...I used to switch back and forth all the time in CMX1 between various different versions of the same vehicles...it spiced things up and there were just so many nice mods. I think this is one of the best I've seen you do. It's nice and subdued...doesn't drift into cartoony and fits in well with Aris stuff and the stock textures. Well done. Hope you'll do more. Did I buy the modding rights or something like that, hehe? Nice to have vehicle modders, they give me more ideas and opportunities to learn something new and add variety to the game, so that people can choose. Let me say, that the Lynx might be the most difficult vehicle to achieve nice results when modding (not technically speaking, it's not hard to figure what goes where), but in the sense that it's not up to the standards of other vanilla textures. I´ll probably take you up on that one of these days, because... Hope you'll do more. ...I think, I´ll try to brush up the Marder I and Wespe too before long. I think they too suffer from not being up to the standards of other vanilla textures. (Puzzles me why BFC havent released clean modders´ versions of those?)
