Battlefront Repository
This is a large map I made for CMBN, but I don't think it made it into either BN or CW.No AI plans or units, just a large map, that includes a river, railway line, several farm complexes and a couple of small villages. sburke
love how you signed it, so this is why they developed google earth.
Vanir Ausf B
Nice! I predict some epic battalion sized PBEMs.
A Canadian Cat
Yes, my friend and I are currently playing a 12 000 point QB on this map now. There are a huge number of tanks running around on it. We are making notes as we go in order to write an AAR after that we plan to post.
Aragorn2002
Lovely map. I've started to experiment with the scenario editor for the first time on it. It looks that good.
Pete Wenman
Cheers guys, glad you are enjoying this one. so this is why they developed google earth No this map is entirely fictitious, I just kinda made up it up as I went along ! Aragorn2002
Is it possible the road over the some of the stone bridges doesn't seem to fit in properly? Or has that got to do with the editor. I mean the bridges seem to be too high for the roads that are leading over them.
Pete Wenman
Yeah bridges do not always line up correctly. It can sometimes be sorted by adjusting the terrain height, but I generally don't worry too much provided the bridge actual works and vehicles will cross it without too much problem. A Canadian Cat
Yeah bridges do not always line up correctly. It can sometimes be sorted by adjusting the terrain height, but I generally don't worry too much provided the bridge actual works and vehicles will cross it without too much problem. Another thing that can be done is to use a slightly longer bridge than strictly necessary. When investigating why I was having trouble getting vehicles to cross the bridges on Pete's map I did just that. Long story short: it turns out there was nothing wrong with the map it was a quirk of the game that my way points were being misplaced. Aragorn2002
I love this map. One of the best I've seen so far. Well done, Pete.
sburke
Cheers guys, glad you are enjoying this one. No this map is entirely fictitious, I just kinda made up it up as I went along ! P I was joking about how when I zoomed out, I saw this big Pete written on the ground. Von Daniken would have us believe it was designed as a message to an alien. Pete you from earth?
Pete Wenman
Von Daniken - you must be as old as I am to remember him All my large maps, since CMBN, are "signed", and you may even find a few for CMSF that have the moniker ! It's just ego P
mjkerner
First time I zoomed out on one of your maps and saw your name, Pete, I just chuckled and thought what a clever way to sign your work!
A Canadian Cat
Yeah and he did it in such away that you cannot easily see it in game - impressive.
