Because most modern young war gamers aren't educated. and thus, believe anyone who play's axis. are Nazi's and are baddies... seriously..lol beyond stupid.
While I'm not sure about this, I was recently accused of being a Nazi when I told someone I tend to play as the Germans. Wow!

I make up the difference via doing dishes, getting her latte on weekend morning, etc. Must keep them distracted like this or they will catch on that we are not worthy. If she sees a pile of dirty dishes in the kitchen she might start to notice other things that are not in your favor.
Hilarious, but I have reported this to to the off-topic police.
Anyway, in our household we have just argued about whether we were on a particular campsite in 2018. I was right of course.
And................................back in the room.

I've also pre-ordered 'Barbarossa'. Might take a while for the confirmation email...

Yes, good-looking vehicle, I'd like one. Hope that guy has the controller (early Xbox prototype), or is he nervously laughing? .

That's sad, it would be unique in 3d video games.
And my glib suggestion of code stealing from modern titles was perhaps a little optimistic, but I imagine it would help.

That didn't make it from my wish-list to the Ready for Prime Time list. The Reitwein map was made for the possibility.
Love it Ben, perhaps we can push for it to arrive somehow/sometime. I fear me pushing will have little clout, but together we can move mountains.

have you actually survived the war yet?
It's been a while but in quite a few careers I got very close but sadly the answer is no. In my defense, I wasn't really trying for that though, more the glory of the tonnage and the survival of the Reich. Hmmm.
13 minutes ago, Bubba883XL said:i do il2 aswell... but needing a joystick and more importantly head tracker
You do it without a joystick . No!!!! Get one, I have an old Saitek X52 which is great but rather old-fashioned these days. It has the throttle quadrant (correct me if I'm using the wrong word) as well, great. And the number of programmable buttons and modes is mind-boggling.
I have a TrackIR but an old version, need a new one. Pricey but a total game changer for spacial awareness. Works great for other games like T34 vs Tiger (obscure), and of course Il2 Tank Crew.
And also pedals, I use CH Pro which I really like.

Okay, assumption is the mother of all FUs. My bad, location does not mean origin. Just lucky you're not from Derby (only kidding if anyone is from Derby, it's really not that bad). The name should have given me a clue, I'm a Triumph guy myself.
Yes to everything you said. Comet, yes. Static weapons as flavour objects? You mean destroyed? I think some modded options are available for that? Okay you might have to swap a dead cow (already modded, not sure) for a dead gun, but it might be what you want.
What about my IR Panther suggestion though? The more I think about it, it could be great as it's a 'first of a kind', even if it only saw one or two actions in real life.

You make me blush sir.
But yes GWX is a beautiful thing. The funny thing (to me at least) was that I went looking for an SH3 mod to correct certain graphic anomalies (you know, the PC ones), and ended up with Grey Wolves (before X IIRC). Beautiful. How lucky was that?

I honestly do think RT/FR might just be my favorite title of all.
Me too but I haven't tried any modern stuff yet. Not even demos (there are demos right, I'm too lazy to check?) .
Having said that I must confess to a fondness for CMBN. And CMFB. And CMFI. The order I wrote that is interesting (probably to me only) but hey ho.
I'm 18, have long blonde hair and a bodacious body. I like animals, helping people and doing yoga at the top of Mount Fuji. Well okay that's not all true, but some is.
And nothing to brag about but I discovered CMRT and then the other titles about two and a half years ago. Wow, where was my head buried ? Partly in the Il2 skies and SH3 Grey Wolves seas ironically...

I would love to see a few more additions.
CM Normandy ---- would be great to see the addition of things like, SDKFZ 7 (for towing of larger AT guns, 88?) Bumbar (it did serve in Normandy.be it late in the theatre) Stug IV (my favorite) lol... opel mulitz ????
even the british matador truck?
That was a quick switch from CMRT to CMBN .
Anyway
- Sdkfz 7 - totally agree, but the rationale I think has been that moving large guns in the CM timeframe is less likely?
- Brummbar - if you need your fix, it's already in CMFI, not sure about other titles without checking. I imagine it would not be that difficult to port over (by Charles of course).
- Stug IV - again totally agree, although a re-skinned Stug III (mod or BFC) might be difficult to tell apart? Also, we do have Jagdpanzer IVs so we're not far from a StugIV.
- Opel (ahem) Maultier? - Yes cool indeed, I'd buy that for a dollar.
- British trucks don't excite me as much, but then I am British (just like your good self).
As for Steve promising late war goodies, do we know what he might have had in mind?
- I would have said for curiosity a Sturmtiger, but then I remembered we already have it somewhere (CMRT?).
- A Pershing perhaps, but not in RT of course.
- Not late war but Nashorn, or do we have that already?
- If not a Maultier, one of the Sdkfz251 rocket artillery carriers?
- Struggling with Russian suggestions now that we have the lovely SU100. Not late war but KV1 and variants, KV2 etc.? I know a lot of folks would be happy with this, but it would be best in an unlikely early East Front expansion, with early models. I would definitely buy that for a lot of dollars.
I could go on but I'm supposed to be fighting in Normandy as the Americans and the Germans. Not in the same battle though.
And who am I kidding, I would buy any further WW2 content. Full stop.
Edit: I had a 'light-bulb moment' (or maybe a 'not light-bulb' moment). The IR variant of the Panther. Surely it would just need a bit of code stealing from a modern title? That truly fits the late war brief as well.

What Artkin said.
Of course, stating the obvious, two identical tanks with identical orders for direction and speed may not arrive in the same 'line' formation, due to things like terrain features, enemy spotting / interference, existing or sudden mechanical issues, etc. etc.

so long as you are happy with not communicating with your opponent
Some of my best (virtual) friends are people I've got to know during Combat Mission PBEMs. All are here on this forum. We typically use Dropbox to transfer files, and use either PMs here or emails to flag up turns and discuss various things. Works fine in my opinion, but I should perhaps give CM Helper a try for the odd time that one of us forgets something.
I'm not sure I'd enjoy PBEMs so much without the communication.

I'm guessing the training scenarios are there for a good reason.

Okay so this response is far too quick (should have been in another 10 or 11 months). Anyhoo, I agree some should have skirts.
I think the one in 'my' picture does, although it's an early training ground shot. Took me ages to wait for just the right angle .

I'm running (as I have been for a couple of years) on an i7 laptop with Nvidia 1060. It has no issues with the game, although opponents with other hardware have occasionally had problems with their side of PBEMs.
I think cost here in the UK is also more than in the US .

Wow, my head is truly stuck in WW2 so I've not seen that, but it looks pretty good. Surely such a thing can be added/ported over to the WW2 titles? Not sure how the game handles the damage side but obviously it can do it with buildings already.
