    I have created 3 campaigns from 2011 to 2014, but this is the hugest one. 
    It is a beast. And making  Master-Maps sometimes is a feeling like working in the hell😱
    There are Four Maps of around 2 x 2 km, one Map of around 650 x 650m and at the moment, I am struggeling with a map of 3 x 1,8 km😬
    And still two more maps waiting...

    You command an alarm unit and have been sent to assist 2nd Infantry Battalion which is under severe pressure and may collapse.  The 2nd Battalion’s Command Post (CP) and logistical structure is in and around the village of Kvass (Soviet 200 VP touch objective).  In the village is the Command Post, Supply section, aid station and 20mm Flak section. 
       
    The battalion aid station contains approximately 11 walking wounded.  These troops are experienced soldiers, but their current state is unfit with poor morale.  In an emergency these troops can form an ad hoc unit under the aid station officer, Von Bones.

    Campaign Screen. 
    While this mini-campaign was being created an interesting forum topic was under discussion about The Panzergrenadier Commandments.  I included a modified version of The Panzergrenadier Commandments in the operational map area of the campaign briefing.  A player can refer back to these commandments and see if any of them might apply to the various situations he finds himself in.  I attempted to modify the commandments to better fit the Combat Mission game environment.  Any misinterpretations, mistakes, bad advice etc. contained in the modified version is my fault    😎.  They can, of course, be completely ignored.  I thought it was interesting to attempt to follow them during testing.  At the very bottom is a link to the original forum topic.

    Makes more sense, I guess the spotted vehicle is triggering the targeting process of the AT gun which then causes model glitches. This indeed indicates that something got botched in the modding process. My rough guess would be either missed import/export metadata checks or something screwed up by loading multiple times the same model into Blender like tackled in the "Prominent Issues..." tut video.
    However without being the author and no inspection of the model it is naturally hard to pinpoint the exact cause.
    Yes existing CM models (parts) can be combined and if required resized afterwards. There is a "Combining Existing ..." tut video available for that aswell featuring the Stuart Flak idea. I generally recommend to at least skim once all the available documentation and tutorials here. It will save time and effort.

    @Aquila-SmartWargames I have a licence from 3D Max and sketchup, and already converted a lot to obj and in case in the same time in fbx and 3ds, so if you need some, i can lend you a hand...

    After playing around a bit with the scales and transform here is the result, vanilla on the left and modded on the right.
    You can also note that the vanilla crew is way too far back, which is fixed by transforming the model backwards in Blender.
    I plan on releasing the fixes for the 7.62cm Pak36(r) and the various CW 6 pounder guns after I'm finished with them.

    Thank you for taking the time to answer, I know that you are very busy with other projects, also that you are also listening to the forum, and this is very important, this is the kind of people that we need for the good of the community.
    Indeed, I read and read comments under the videos to detect eventualy the file conversion flaws.
    About your job, It would be interesting to know the 3d models that  you have problems to convert, I installed the versions of Python and Blender, like indicated in the forum, and I, probably stumble on the same reasons, ok... without forgetting my basic knowledge of software.  ,)
    Interresting will be also that, more members on the forum, could also give theirs opinions and experiences in the 3D world,  and share eventuel knowledges to the profit of the community, so many of us would like jump in the 3Dworld and do a few things, but don t have the required knowledges, and I dont talk only about me, ...I am full inside.

    I am currently still busy with the Year of the Rat campaign but excited to see that the upcoming campaign is going along well. H&E is an amazing experience.

    Although most of the People's Militia campaign will take place over the course of several years, the final battles will all take place within the span of a few days during a great battle dubbed "Operation Isandlwana".

    Did notice this in a little test today. The 35mm shouldn't need that much 'exposure' I guess. The CV seems to be expending ammo like a bradley, although the cartridge and ammo capacity is quite different. 

    I also did some testing with the Gill today (because others reported it did weird things, but didn't notice that so far), and I did find something very odd. It seems that it's flight path is inverted, instead of going 'up' (as a top attack missile should, and the ingame model does suggest such behavior) it goes 'down'. When I use it from an elevated position, it works fine. However, my test today was in a defilade against targets on a higher plateau. All missiles (2 teams firing about 4 or 5 each) skimmed the ground and intersected with the ground before reaching the target. I guess it is reproducible if this is not a 'known' bug yet. ?
    Between the c2 radio issues, the Gill and the CV90 I'm holding back playing with the Dutch too, unfortunately. I hope the next patch will fix these things, at least there is plenty of other stuff during the wait (I don't see a patch coming 'soon'  , because nothing was said about it until now).

    I didn´t know that Berlin got also hit, long time since I´ve read it. It very likely wouldn´t require constitutional changes at all as in the case of a direct attack the Bundeswehr might already have legitimization by Art. 115a GG alone.
    However Article 5 NATO would be very likely activated aswell and thus there would be more then enough reasons for the government to give green light and enact a combat focused mandate.

    Year of the Rat Temple Addon


    - works like regular "skin" mods, place it in your z folder and they will appear
    - designed primarly for the Heaven & Earth Year of the Rat campaign, replaces the two monastery domes with temple roofs
    - damaged versions included
    - also works in regular CMSF2 and with other HE scenarios, however not all domes have been replaced, only the 17x17 roof and the 16x8 roof
    - unique textures for intact and damaged included (currently copies from the H&E dome texture), they don´t interfere with the regular dome texture, can be modified by liking

    No 100% but I think what @MOS:96B2P did here is using "blank" .bmp textures for some of the helmet texture versions. By using these blanks the object/model ingame becomes invisible. It is an handy workaround for many ideas.

    A possible explanation for this observation without guarantee that it is true for the CM simulation here or reality:
    1) The BMP-3 has a 100mm and the 30mm. The 30mm is loaded with belt(s) and ready to engage before the engagement, the 100mm is not
    2) The BMP-3 crew identifies the tank and starts to engage the tank right from the beginning with the 30mm while the ATGM is now ordered to be loaded into the 100mm and made ready. This might take some seconds.
    3) when this process is finished, the crew aims and fires the ATGM
    For most situations this "maximum firepower" approach of the TacAI is also what I would prefer as AC fire even without penetration can severly surpress enemy tanks despite causing significant damage to optics etc. In my playthroughs in several similar situations the enemy tank was suffering from a combat-ineffective some sort of "stunned" state, buying time for the BMP-3 or others to take out the tank.
    However true is that for some situations especially when an "ATGM-only" approach might be preferred, opening up with the AC can be semi-optimal and enable the target or other enemy vehicles to identify the BMP-3 faster before it even can bring its ATGM to bear or deny its option to retreat. At long ranges the BMP-3´s TacAI seems to handle things this way. I imagine finding a general sweet spot distance between TacAI "maximum firepower" and "ATGM-only" might be hard if not impossible as it is very situation and tactics dependant. 
    One could experiment if issuing a "Target Armor Arc" and/or "Hide" command to the BMP-3 might change something. I suspect not but I didn´t test it out.
