Guys quick advice: try to play your Quick Battles in "Iron" mode - it is awesome. It will give you way more of that "real battle" experience. Recently I was playing "Iron" mode after "Elite" and it is way more fun!

    Ambush Scenario shots
    Ukrainian BTR approaching the town

Assault squad crossing an alley overwatched by one BTR

    Death at the crossroad

Ukrainian troops rushing over a bridge covered by BTR fire

QRF BMP opens fire preparing the assault

Ukrainian spearhead advance trhough the fields

A BMP suppress enemy infantry while a truck flees

And the final result; i've managed to save 3 out of 4 trucks after an extra 5 min time...then i decided to concede ceasefire thinking that the mission was accomplished, but i was wrong

This is a great scenario; in this playtrhough i've focused on clearing the town ad the outskirts, i wanted to learn a bit of urban tactics, but the time it's not your friend and i had to rush, so i played the last turns too "RTS style"

The thing is I saw few soldiers wearing really really dark olive colored vests and I loved that. Yet in upcoming versions of this mod more different vests will be added. Including not only green. But it will take time. Thank you for your comment, and your pointing out. Moreover I would like to mention that I do enjoy your modding work. What you do with explosions especially with automatic cannons and those spikes of red fire is in my  opinion great addition to the game. Thank you for your point my friend. I will take that in consideration.

Shturm-S or Assault-S or under NATO classification AT-6 Spiral, is an AT missile system (developed and produced in Soviet Union in 1976) painted in Ukrainian Digital Camouflage.

Works perfectly against any kind of light armor. Yet, if you want to use it against tanks – try to hit their side armor (avoid putting them directly in front of your enemy).

Gentlemen my Digital Camo mod was updated to version 1.1
    Changelog
    Fixes
Gorka Uniform is completely reworked and now looks like this:

Camouflage MM-14 was reworked for a better quality as well – now its prints (size, scale, order) are more accuratly represented.

Overall appearance was changed towards HD quality – better textures were used in this version.

To make this mod work you need to delete previous version of it. This is version 1.1.

"...this seems to be a recurring statement by you Erwin and I can appreciate they may start to feel that way for you, but that is your perception and not one I’d agree with."
Jeez...  Olek asked me a question and I responded.  Cos you don't agree with my "perception" or "opinion" you could have simply responded to Olek and let him (or anyone else interested in his question) make up his own mind.
To reiterate:  When I was injured I got to play a LOT.  8 hours/day for years.  I found that all the WW2 titles started to seem the same to me in terms of gameplay.  It's as if one broke up CM1 into its various theatres and eras and tried to play em as separate games.  They games would basically all play pretty much the same with graphical differences.

Gentlemen this is my biggest project within this game. This is total replacement of all uniforms and gear in both slots of the U.S. Army within this game.
There were two reasons for me to make this mod:
1 – It is 242nd Birthday of the United States Marines.
2 – I was thinking about what unit would be able to make a difference in a conflict what took place in this game.
So here it is – > 2nd Marine Division in Combat Mission: Black Sea.
A little about this mod – at this point it is version 1.0 (meaning the very first version of this mod) and it includes:
    “Standard” Uniform is now MARPAT

“Brown” Uniform has 3 unifroms in it and those are patterns used by MARSOC (and yes you now have an opportunity to command MARSOC forces)

So regular MARPATS for “Standard” uniforms and at this moment 3 versions of MARSOC uniforms for “Brown” uniforms.
    Gear:
Gear was reworked almost completely – few things will come as additional mods when I will be done modding them.
Now all the ground forces (Crew teams are waiting to be modded) wearing olive colored helmets (overall gear for this mod was picked in order to fit Eastern Europe terrain.
Those helmets are not simply repainted and retextured – now they are carring infromation about blood group of each soldier. Some soldiers are wearing patches with Merican (and no there was no mistake in a word “Merica”) flags.

All gear is retextured accordingly – Standard uniform has its all elements covered in MARPAT, while Brown uniforms… well its complicated here. The thing is that MARSOC Raiders are using different kinds of gear, they can have lets say M81 or woodland camo pants with gray top and olive chest rig and so on. So they do exactly the same in this mod – wearing gear which is randomly mixed (but the mix itself is inspired by thing being used in reality).

Little things: Patches are picked accordingly to the name of the unit – raiders are wearing their stuff, regulars wearing their stuff. Dirt and dust added to uniforms, and helmets.
NOTE: This mod will not work along with my Canadian Light Infantry mod because it replaces all infantry units of the United States represented in the game. So if you want to use this mod you need to delete Canadian mod at first.
Plans: Obviusly this is only the very begining, I’m working on additional elements of the gear, I’m planing to rework skins, footwear, all the weapons and even vehicles within time. This mod will be updated from time to time (for better texturing, more uniforms and details and so on). Working on a mod like this is a huge excitement because recently we were celebrating US Marines B-day and that was my primary insparation. I hope you will enjoy this mod and you will lead your men in combat with pride and honor.

I've been enjoying the discussion on this thread, but I honestly don't get the absolute need to convince each other of your positions.

Oleksandr has laid out his reasoning several times and you might not agree with it, and that is fine. I personally don't agree with his opinion on it, but I think his line of thinking is interesting to read.

I also enjoyed reading the strong replies to his position. BTR, Chudacabra, Erwin, AKD, HerrTom, CptMiller's first post (even if a bit snippy) all added good content to the thread.

It created a richer conversation about something that would otherwise not be talked about. I wouldn't have AKD's link for instance without this discussion.

But holy **** guys. Do you absolutely need to string together a bunch of snarky, personally attacking posts that don't add any functional content to the thread just because someone likes the design ethos of the BMP-3 (Our IFV is both a weapon and a VBIED), seriously?  Like RSulomon, is Oleksandrs' opinion really such a big deal that you have to make some weirdo post asking if he understands opinions can be wrong? Great guys, Oleksandr doesn't like the Stryker, many of you have made cogent arguments to the opposite of that, but do we really need to write a bunch of internet trash so you can "win" your argument? We don't need this whiny internet trash.

Now ironically my complaint about internet trash has put further litter in this thread. But I expect better conduct here than some random reddit thread where every user is just trying to declare themselves the winner of some ****ty internet argument. Let **** go sometimes, you don't always need to "win"...

Good old 4320 with few little changes: Painted in Digital camo, upgraded with a camouflage net, rear sign “people” and ukrainian military number plate in the front. Some dust and dirt added as well. Last but not least – an emblem of Ukrainian Armed Forces added to both doors.

On following screenshots you can see one of the ways to deploy your platoon into attacking formation. I broke this operation into few stages and this is Stage 1.
I love counter-attacking. I like to advance only when major forces of my opponent are destroyed (especially heavy armor).
So when you ready to advance this is one of the options you can follow. First decide where will you attack. Look for some space to maneuver on. Always have some forces covering and supressing your enemy. Form a line with your APC's. Keep some distance between them. 1st deploy your squads in areas between your APC's. Under Ideal conditions your HQ element should be handing out in the middle of your formation. Every squad you deploy you should direct with a "face" command towards that area you moving to. Your 3rd Squad will need certain guidence - meaning that in different situation it should be placed in different places - sometimes hard left - sometimes behind formation - sometimes ahead of it.
Look at your APC's as at borders of your stage 1 - your infantry should fill those gaps between your armor.
This is the most dangerous moment of deploying your units. Space between armor is tight - your units deploying same time - direct hit to any of your APC's will lead to casualties. Yet if you have proper cover from other platoons, if your arty and other units are keeping your enemy busy - if you plan everything right - you should be ok.

Gentlemen, Im sorry if I didnt respond on all of your comments. Since I'm in Florida right now we are recovering from Irma hurricane so due to certain problems with power and internet I wasnt able to respond fast. Yet as a member of Ukrainian diaspora I would like to thank you for your comments, thoughts and critisim. It is important for me to share my experience with you guys and be able to get something in return. Thank you for your participation gentlemen. Last but not least I would like to highlight my point - I'm not daring to teach anyone how to play - Im simply sharing what worked for me. I'm planing to cover multiple aspects of this wonderful game - arty, movement, recconisance, tactics, momentum, and yes some of my personal build ups in terms of picking forces and composing them into platoons, companies, and so on. God Bless you all.
