From my limited observation 60-100 kmh helps to decrease the chance of hit There are unverified RU claims that with 100-120 kmh you can drive away from FPV  The second video  shows Avenger escaping from Lancet Keep in mind that piloting FPV is not easy - you need to compensate for example for the wind etc. Even tanks can benefit from speed, but I mostly see wheeled vehicles escaping attack. Here is quadracycle at full speed escapes the attack and we also can compare it with successful attack. RU claims that the current typical suicide FPV that operates at frontline has just 25 minutes (at longer range UKR use different noticeably slower drones). It does not mean that speed is 100% protection, but it does mean that speed helps.  [EDIT] Another good video of RU drone that was too slow.

Lancet is 200-300km in a dive with its elegant missile-like proportions and weighs ~15kg. A regular old quadcopter can easily do 100+ kmh even with a bit of weight on it.
So basically, much faster than most wheeled or tracked vehicles on the current be-holed, be-trenched and be-shrapneled mess of a battlefield.

Tissues are bourgeois inventions, comrade. Since the last 5-year plan all tissue and toilet paper factories have been retooled to make sandpaper. And better make a good stock of it while it lasts, comrade. Next year they are all switching to coarser grain.
PS. True story from actual experience of living under "real socialism". Two things they could never produce in sufficient numbers was toilet paper and rope for baling hay. 

Don't really see the point of the Patton quote posting. Far right people love to post another quote of his that "we fought the wrong enemy", implying that he would rather have allied with the nazis. Guy was a piece of work. In his own words, quoted in Peter Harts The Last Battle, during the American offensive in 1918, Patton thought he killed an American soldier who was shell  shocked, hitting him over the head. Somehow this anecdotal admission of possible manslaughter/murder has been completely forgotten despite the scandal in WW2 when Patton simply slapped a soldier.  This wasn't the only time Patton would inflict violence against soldiers of his own country who fought in the first war, he helped put down with force the Bonus Army that marched to DC to get the benefits they were owed. 
Patton was no hero and isn't worth celebrating.

Good posts (my) overnight.  5 planes in a week.  That's some good news.  Andiivka lost, but it was a pile of rubble anyway.  And as was pointed out, cost a division.  Yes, can be replaced, but it's still a division off the chessboard.  W replacements there could've been two divisions.  but there's just one, again.  
Steve made good point that I've been thinking about lately.  Headlines in the media are a very bad way to judge things.  And those headlines will say things like "Andiivka falls, can weary UKR fight on?" or some such.  I am sure similar headlines we're there for Normandy, as Steve said.  Same for N Afrika - El Alamein retreat by the brits, without realizing Rommel had an already unsustainable supply line that had just gotten ~600km longer.  The underlying big picture of the war did not change w Andiivka, despite the pants-wetting we will see from the press and some folks.  UKR can fight on, and at some point something breaks enough for one side that they negotiate and end to active hostilities.  but we're not even close to breaking for UKR, sadly for certain Putin-funded US House members.

5. Stop acting as if we have a choice in the matter.

The Russians prepared far better than we thought, that's for sure. But they can't and they won't win. Denmark gave a good example by announcing all Danish artillery will be send to Ukraine. I hope other countries will following that grand gesture. Ukraine MUST prevail and it will. The Russians didn't learn much from their mistakes, don't believe their propaganda. They want us to believe that they are winning. They are not. They are bleeding. Badly.
The West is awake and will crush Putin and his thugs. It will take years, but we'll make them pay.  Patience and perseverance! If it takes another world war, so be it.

I'm confused.  Where else would someone get something this stupid?  I used to work w a guy who would come in every day spouting whatever nonsense he heard on rightwing radio on his drive, only to be devastated, continually by his coworkers who simply fact checked his nonsense.  Kimbosbread does this all the time.  Here, he triumphantly announces that the aid not happening is all the fault of the guy trying to actually get the aid instead of the people holding the aid hostage.  

Completely not true.  Just a few GOPers could simply vote to pass the aid.  Last I checked 6 out of ~218 GOPers is all it takes.  Might make folks feel better to blame it on the crazies, but then why don't the allegedly sane major of GOPers simply vote to do the right thing?   The reality is that they vote as a block and simply refuse to do the right thing.

Hi from Argentina, as far as I can tell we no longer produce 155mm, just last year production of 105mm was reactivated after a decade or so and probably at a very low rate; there are a few articles discussing the possibility of producing 155mm again giving it´s high demand, but couldn't find anything about the actual feasibility of doing it.
On one hand given the profound economic crisis here I wouldn't bet much on our production capacity, on the other hand we currently have as much a pro US government as you can ask from Latin America, maybe there is a deal to be made.

If Ukrainian will collapses over this one small town, in a slow motion attack that has taken 4 months to culminate, then we are backing the wrong horse in this whole thing.  The US and West cannot supply the Will to Fight - that is all on the Ukrainians.  They have shown incredible resilience for two years and I personally doubt this will break them.  But if it does, or there are serious signs of it collapsing, then stopping aid starts to make sense because it would likely simply fall into the hands of the Russian's.  If the Ukraine are the Government of Afghanistan then it won't matter how much aid we end up sending them, this war is already lost - of course this the narrative being pushed in some camps.
I think that like Bakhmut and Severodontesk, the UA will re-set, new lines will be drawn and the RA will kill itself trying to take the next smallville in the Ukrainian countryside.  My money is that the RA will run out of gas before Ukraine runs out of small towns.

Biden gave BILLIONS AND BILLIONS in aid.  They didn't give as much or as fast as we wanted, speaking for most folks on this forum, but it was still a huge amount.  Now the GOP is blocking aid completely, meaning GIVING ZERO.  Do you even hear yourself?  Biden is trying to give MORE AID.  the GOP is blocking it.  Once again, you make zero sense.  Once again, you've gotten worked up on some ridiculous right wing bizarro world talking point and don't even stop to see if it evens makes the most basic sense.
