  2. @Jace11 I am only an apprentice Blender technician 3rd class sir. Your magnificence sir, it seems like a child object is improperly named in these 3D models. The sprocket child object is named cylinder87 when all other wheels are named as wheel with a number. such as wheel76, etc. I don't actually own CMCW so the going is a bit slow to try and fix then test.   5. oops. I will analyze what I may have botched. I renamed object cylinder87 to be wheel87. This was the sprocket.
  6. I have clocked in...3D Tank Repair Activated! Hitting another Blender error. Metadata error of some sort. ugggh. this might NOT be an easy fix. I will keep trying.   8. I just made greatcoats for the Romanian soldiers using a bunch of different greatcoats. GiMP layers and alpha layers and masking. Romanians don't seem to have y-straps in the winter. They have plain collars. double-breasted buttons. Similar brown to Hungarians. Then I gotta do the nco's and the officer sets (junior, mid and senior). 2 great youtube videos on the action of 19-20 November 1942. Operation Uranus and the Romanians...
  9. "BUG" but just missing/incorrect textures. It seems that the normal maps for German senior officer greatcoats are incorrect and show y-straps. This is for CMFB and CMRT AND CMFI. CMFI seems to not even have normal maps for the base module nor for Gustav Line module but then finally they shipped with Rome to Victory. But shipped still incorrect. 3 strikes and you're out. I have never been invited to be on the BFC BETA test team but I recommend that each guy get some "specialty area" to be in charge of. I THINK from grape vine and forum comments, that they all get a loosey-goosey "play the game and report stuff that seems wonky". Put a guy in charge of uniforms. Put a guy in charge of vehicle models. etc etc All the piddly stuff we see that slips on through. MAYBE it does get diligently reported and MAYBE gets diligently fixed but SOME-EFFING-HOW it gets right back in the folders? That is a QA issue somewhere. eggshells in the omelette.
  10. Just woke up and brewing the coffee. I will try to go quick into Blender and get the actual file name of this gear bmp file. It is an "option" object that can randomly shown in the game. In the brz folder with CMCW vehicles "MIGHT" be a "vehicles-misc" miscellaneous or "shared texture" folder of a bmp or 2 with camo nets and jerry cans. Maybe. EDIT: it seems to be called "us coldwar gear.bmp"...
  11. M48 Issue Blender Analysis Report, sah! I see an object named incorrectly. It is the suspect sprocket drive wheel! I CAN rename to fix it but it is asking for other bmp files for optional gear. I need that sent please. @laurent 22

  13. The KV-1...yeah, I might try again with that one over the holidays. It had a LOT of funky changes to do from what I have to work with and didn't function properly in game. I NEVER found out if the damn rear turret MG even works on the IS. I forget if I have ever seen it function. But in Blender I have learned a bit more of what to watch for and so it MIGHT go better the next try...
  14. I do not think it is an animation issue. I **think** it is a 3D model issue. I am at work and will take a look later after Laurent sends me the files I asked for by PM. I never ever ever ever ever work on Blender or GiMP stuff or write scenario briefings or look for cool images or scenario creation inspiration while at my job.

  17. With just a little more official insider help from BFC we could accomplish so much more for our modding. In some patch they could add in a bunch of extra slots for captured vehicles for each side and antitank rifle and water-cooled MG on axis side or axis units that NEVER get panzerfausts in the scenario editor. Easy stuff. In the forums, I have asked and begged and pleaded and grovelled but it always seems to fall on deaf ears.
  18. It is a Hungarian Kiraly SMG. With fixed-wooden stock, it is the 39M. But with folding stock AND folding magazine (AT NO EXTRA CHARGE!!!) it is the 43M. I tired to use modder voodoo to make the 43M 3D Model take the place of the MP40 in this mod.
  19. no, please ask things. I am already thinking maybe I make their officers have the version you like. Like the officers got it but not the rank & file. That would be much easier to accomplish.

  22. Hi masp. Welcome and I hope you have a blast with CM. If and when you get the hankering to make your own scenario or maybe a mod, post a thread and ask questions. Your main CM folder should have a scenario creation guide pdf and a forum search CAN OFTEN give good info from past discussions but most forum folks are always real helpful to try and answer your questions.   24. Well, I would say "almost". The ONE THING is you can only have one set of axis soldier names and the voice files can be only 1 set at a time. For an upcoming Festung Budapest scenario "Uncles and Pups", you have a 99% Hungarian force with just one German SS Pak40. Like I always say for my mods, "Squint while you play them!" (meaning don't focus too clearly to see the inadequacies) Thanks for the kind words and if you want to have at it and make some Festung Budapest Hungary scenarios or stuff from earlier in the war, HAVE AT IT, ONE AND ALL. Anybody, feel free to PM me for any questions on how best to use the mods. For example, the Hungarian Paratroopers Uniforms (which for official statements purposes, I did NOT make, I have no idea where they ORIGINALLY came from, but am happy I have them), they show when you have German Gebirgsjagers in winter uniforms. Get it? The regular Greatcoat Hungarian infantry are best purchased as stragglers or Sicherungs to end up with just rifles and MP40. Set appearance as greatcoats of course. Vehicles coming soon...
