  1. They ARE a bit different in the way the scenario editor 3D preview "click fest" occurs to change the walls, windows/doors, balcony, etc. This then rolls to the mod effort to complicate it somewhat to make sure you grab all the necessary parts from the brz. Independent buildings are simpler to mod as they are a set that is easier to see as a mod in the files. Door pattern doesn't change for example.
  2. CMRT modular buildings modded for Stalingrad and Berlin by NPye. I did a few for Warsaw too. CMSF/CMFI Kieme did flat roof modulars. Arab ghetto look style. Other titles I am not sure
  3. I throw down my leather glove! I would love to play that White Manor battle! Never did.
  4. I am like a rabbi, I only take tips. (That was my Dad's go to joke...)
  5. here is the prototype... I now need to tweak the texture to make the bayonet stand out visually from the rifle metal and enhance the pointed part. Ouch! it is sharp...
  6. I had a request from @Falaise to try to produce this mod. It is in progress in Blender to sculpt the 3D model mdr file. Looking pretty good so far. I also will modify the bmp file texture. I decided to use [britbayonet] as the modtag. Photos soon.
  7. Back home safe and sound in Texas. WHAT A GREAT TRIP! My thanks to the following forum buddies who took a chance and changed the usual virtual online only friendship to an actual face to face friendship. @Vacillator @Falaise @Simicro
  8. We went yesterday a lovely road trip by "Dacia" to Saumur. @Falaise avec his 2 sons. For privacy I will not give their names but they were wonderful young chaps age 14 and 16 with excellent knowledge of history and tanks. We laughed and got along very well. A memory worth a lot to me. But I saw only one book on Stonne. It was in French only so I did not purchase. A different tank than Eure. It had a light blue upper surface on the turret. The rest was 2 shades of green I think. I should have been cheeky and photographed the page! https://www.chars-francais.net/2015/index.php/14-classement-individuel/char-b/224-337-eure http://panzerserra.blogspot.com/2014/02/char-b1-bis-part-01.html?m=1
  9. Crossing the channel enroute to bell France. The ferry Normandie has beautiful photographs of areas of Normandie... ~~~~~~ I think it is not a bad idea at all for new forum folks to get a leg up by taking older CM projects and altering (and maybe refining) them. So I hope you do give it a polish. Excellent!
  10. Merci Laurent. I like them. I am boarding the ferry soon and will be in France later this afternoon. I saw the Bovington Char B1 bis and in a few days I will examine the one at Saumur. Maybe at Saumur I can get better documentation for Eure. Talk to you soon! ~Phil
  11. A buddy of mine from the navy scored a job at the Omaha Beach cemetery. His gifts to me included a bottle of Calvados and an expended .50 cal casing stamped 1943 that he had found on the beach. Old and rusted away. But now in my collection of stuff. Bottle of Calvados long since drained dry. Powerful stuff.
  12. It is great to see the new blood pulsing in the forum.
  13. @PEB14 is touched by @Mr.X to take the old campaign and revise it...?
  14. I don't even know what Squad Gameplay is but can you get into the data sets and grab the specific sounds files and work it that way?
  15. Making the shell is one thing. Finding where to host it can be really tricky. There are only so many slots. Worse then as a scenario is designed. It gets even trickier to have conflicts between axis and allies for who is allowed on the stage at the same time. ~~~~~~~~~~~ I am headed out in a few hours on a 1 week trip to Europe to see a few tank museums and drink alcohol with forum buddies. BFC has (not) funded my trip to do research for their new early war title... QUESTION FOR ANYBODY/EVERYBODY. In CMFI, the Italian tank crews have their leather helmet, they also have in the files, the leather helmet with feathers for Bersaglieri vehicle crews. HAS ANYBODY SEEN THAT WORN AND WHAT FORMATION AND WHAT VEHICLE? Thanks
  16. Beautiful. I think it channels some Claude Monet! I am not a foliage mod guy but I scratch my head when you said you wished they were taller. Can you put them in place of tall yellow grass or extra tall green grass?
  17. I am at my office job and not at my normal PC for CM stuff. hmmmm. Try to select by color the black part and then try "selection to alpha". Honestly my CM toolbox is GiMP, paint.NET and an old hacked copy of Photoshop. Each has evolved to have a specific thing i use it for based on my limited brain and limited skills. But Photoshop is my go to tool for alpha layers/channels. Sometimes I close GiMP and then fresh open an existing CM bmp of another flower or plant doo-dad to study the format. Reverse engineer Soviet-ski 1950's style.
  18. Fakety fakety fakety fake lobster juicy good with fake butter roadwheel stabilizer added.
  19. If that is the name of a Polish vodka, then yes. I will have another Skoda and ice.
  20. I guess I just can't leave BEFORE I do these last couple hundred things.
