  1. You make it sound easy! hahaha The hull should be obtainable from the CMBN Crusader AA tank. Different number of roadwheels. I have not had good luck messing with roadwheels. But the turret is more difficult since this tank had very distinctive angles on the sides. The host will be the Daimler MkII. Gotta do what I gotta do.
  2. Ok, I am at the house. Are you home? I am knocking but the door will not open. First thought: It looks like a mod. The door is not exactly normal aspect ratio. Let me examine it further. EDIT: It seems she is the independent house 12m x 12m diagonal EDIT 2: I played the scenario hotseat against myself and sent a team to enter the door after one waypoint right in front of the door. They went to the 1st waypoint but then went all the way around to the right and then moved through the crack between the buildings to emerge back near the 1st waypoint and DID enter the desired door. No flavor objects are there so that is not the issue. It must be some footprint issue of the 3D models overlapping that causes the game code to make this path decision. But the door does work. I went in and had coffee. Thanks
  3. ok, how experienced are you with downloading a mod folder? Especially my style of a folder with inner folders? Download from CMMODS to your normal downloads folder. Unzip there (or anywhere you prefer) into a folder with subfolders. The scenarios are the *.btt files and can be dropped into your scenario folder. They start with prefix FR40...so they should be damn easy to see.
  4. OK, let me think. Uh, this is using CMFI. Right? And do you have all the CMFI modules? Base game, Gustav Line and Rome to Victory. All 3 icons in the lower left. Do you have the latest engine? v2.11 Game Engine 4 should be in the lower right corner. Like below.
  5. I appreciate it! Thanks. I have definitely had great enjoyment from doing mods and TRYING to go outside the envelope. More important is if you are enjoying the mod. I hope you played some of the scenarios. I do have more coming. PM me if you have any comments, good or bad. I am happy to listen.
  6. Can you please show us a 2D view screenshot to indicate what exact building in the scenario? Modular buildings the facades cycle through many options. Outside and inside. Theory: The inside facade I think must show the door also to allow passage in from what you see as an exterior door.
  7. Pierre is of a similar vintage as we are. Maybe a bit less dust on the bottle. @PEB14 He just did all that Tony Tony Tim stuff to MAKE you think he is old and feeble. Draw you in and then whammo.
  8. AND he wanted to have played the scenario version where he had the Sherman and P-47's. oooo la la Count De Money. "DE MONET!"
  9. good move. draw him in with that kind of talk. maybe make a small wager on the side before the battle starts.
  10. I did not know there was a newer version. I think I initiated the PBEM and thus used the scenario I had and off we went... My set-up was my usual on the fly best thoughts at the time. I sprinkled the mines around individually to cause some mischief versus a belted pattern. I did spot a few mine bursts. The TRP's I made a network around the map to allow linear missions as best as possible in all areas. I had the FO in the White manor and the Kompanie-Fuhrer in the town. I started each with a mission right away but at harrasment levels but with a delay. I think. I then adjusted fire as I spotted his troops. The mortars lasted all the way until I surrendered. hahaha I was surprised that the White Manor didn't really offer such great LOS for an HMG42. It was wasted and there are no doors to exit out the front. The other HMG42 died so quick for some reason. I should have used the church maybe. The church had the MG platoon HQ and another team from a squad. It held out quite a while. I milked all the ammo out of the truck and the kubelwagen. I was able to move the ATG after it blasted a Stuart. The crew were headed in an odd direction so I found a new spot but they had crap LOS. So I tried a new move to get the truck to take it but then the gun got blasted. Well, now only 1 guy was moving the gun all by himself! Then finally "Arnold" got hit and abandoned the gun. Kamikaze right flank banzai charge. This was hopeless but I figured I would try. I had the truck go too. What a disaster. It was a fun battle. I could have NOT surrendered and gone longer but maybe that is just a big waste of time. OK, Pierre, now you can face the PBEM master Timmy-Tammy-Tony-Tabby @Vacillator
  11. Yeah, that HMG went down fast and was out of the game quick.
  12. You are very welcome. It is my pleasure Pierre. The Bier truck was to confuse your soldiers. It had a lovely bell sound too and the driver had a blonde wig. Brandenbergers?
  13. Maybe we can call you Tooty? You do love peppers...
  14. I don't think so YET --- but he IS making steady progress. I suppose I soon shall see the G.I. boot headed towards my buttocks. I have been dancing the mortars around for 30 minutes. I have had a few successes here and there but also some catastrophes. My AT gun nailed one of his tanks very early. It took forever to be knocked out. Like maybe 10 rounds of AP as well as the giant 150mm round. I then tried to relocate it. A Shreck nailed another tank. Another Shreck crew just couldn't get their act together and missed high like 4 rounds. My center held out for a long while but just crumbled. I am not sure how many soldiers he has left.
  15. Make a mixture of it? Now you are Tammy. I tried a counterattack on my right flank but it was destroyed.
  16. Another way maybe is to open your scenario folder as a folder (not in the game) and sort by date. The older base game scenarios are all from 2011. That is what I see at least. Take a cell phone photo or otherwise note their titles and then you COULD edit some of them a bit and rename and your buddy should have no issues trying them.
  17. PM me and maybe we can figure it out. If you can dropbox me the files I can try and knock out the blender work. I visited Pagosa Springs last year. Your state has nice dispensaries.
  18. Hmmm. OK. I do not own CMCW but if you do, does CW have this BTR-D? The below is copied from another thread of mine... MDR SWAPPING 101 I write this from the perspective of a WW2 CM game fan... If I CANNOT get a new influx of game-coded vehicles for the early war periods, I have to look at swapping a vehicle in for a specific mod. I will refer to this as mdr swapping other wise known as "mdr shenanigans". We're all really just staring at a screen of spreadsheets fighting each other, right? Something like that? The armor ratings, the turret turn rate, rate of fire, etc. I have taken the mdr file of one vehicle and renamed it to the mdr filename of another vehicle to get the on screen result I wanted. But the game engine knows what it really is and all the physics stays the same. The player is not happy to see a Romanian R-35 fire off a multi-round burst of main gun fire because underneath it is still a Lynx. So, sometimes these vehicle swaps are best limited to roles of battlefield debris, damaged tanks, etc. maybe set the ammo to severe, maybe use a conscript crew, send them down a mined road as part of an AI plan. AS AN EXAMPLE FROM CMRT ROMANIAN MOD, if CMRT had an actual R-35 on the axis side, then no "mdr shenanigans" would be required. CMFI has one on the axis side. We have apples, oranges and pears. If we can get a fuji apple to take the place of a macintosh apple, then maybe the overall results are not so awful. The R-35 layed over the Lynx wasn't so bad, I thought. I also did a T-34 from CMRT layed over the Panzer IV to be captured T-34 training for the invasion of Malta. Also, I did the Australian R-35 in CMFI Afrika Mod layed over the Stuart. My terms are "shell" vehicle mdr, the one you want to see in the game. It is on the outside like the shell of an egg. "host" vehicle mdr is on the inside, it is what the gamecode and associated physics see. 1. Go get the folder for the shell vehicle (mdr files, bmp files, UI file), bring it to the new Z folder in a subfolder. 2. Then you must find the host mdr's folder and get the host mdr's mdr files, usually 3 or so? 3. Bring them into that same subfolder with the shell's stuff. Select the first host mdr file, then I hit F2 for rename then control c to copy the filename to the clitboard. THEN DELETE THAT FILE. 4. Select the first file of the shell and hit F2 and hit ctrl v and also add in your [france1940] modtag at the end. hit enter 5. Do the same steps 3 and 4 for the other host files until all the original host mdr files are deleted and the shell files are all renamed with modtags. The gamecode sees the hosts name but displays the shell on the screen in modtagged scenarios. The last bit of icing on the cake is to modify the UI in game portrait or silhouette. I like to try and use Juju's nice UI images for the shell vehicle or make your own and rename as host filename with modtag. The bmps do not have to be renamed for vehicle mdr swaps For uniform mds swapping, they do have to be renamed...
  19. I do not own CMBS. But I offer to try to walk you through doing it yourself... It is just some file renaming. Very easy stuff if you have the files.
  20. You got me stumped. The OLD Container Ship Unloading Terminal at Bayonne, New Jersey...?
