The Panzer battle is over. The axis forces were extremely powerful! The T-34/76 unit has been totally destroyed after the first losses in the forest. The penal company is gone! It is turn 2 and we will be making our moves and any assaults we can organize. Standby!

The Panzer Battle is now over as well. fenthedog has crushed the Soviet enemy! I will tally his losses and report back here soon. Soon will begin turn2!

Your recon force only lost 8 men and NO VEHICLES were lost! Great job. Oh, there is a rule that if your named player on the map gets killed, then you can no longer play a battle.... Well, in a perfect world with lots of players wanting to participate, well then maybe I would enforce that rule. Or a one battle penalty or something reasonable... But we hardly get any dedicated players for these operations. Just a handful of you great guys. So, Mark...you will get another battle.

Hi Mark, These operation layer tactical battles do not have any real points assigned for that screen to make sense. In fact, I tried to shut down the game before you could see it as it then reveals all about the enemy and can chip away fog of war. I guess I was not fast enough! You did a great job and were victorious.

Hi Doug, Yes, you will have air support at 0800. Historically the Luftwaffe made a tremendous showing at this time and place. I will give you a full list later tonight from home. Hey Mark, Yes, I saw that happen. I didn't know "you" were in there. A ballsy move that got your balls blown off!

fenthedog shrugs off some early tank losses and rams an armored fist into the thin Soviet defenses. Up in the northeast corner, he is swinging some mechanized units to apparently come from behind on the enemy's right flank. The Soviet commander has moved one of his few T-34's up the road to counter the move. Stay tuned!

Now F-Troop...THAT was a military show we can all take some lessons from. The defensive fortifications and guard towers, the artillery support (canons). The vicious Heckawi's! They were gonna call them the Fugawi's but the studio caught on to the joke...

The show did have MG-42's often. And one episode had panzerfausts. "The Bridge" iirc. One episode had FJ's in the proper helmet.

Vic directed "Hills are for Heroes" and it went over budget and pissed off the studio. I got all the DVD's and my sons and I have together seen the entire 4 seasons over several years. 1 episode a night. Come on over, bring some beer and we'll fire one up! ;D Now my oldest went off to the USAF so the younger one (15) and I decided to restart and watch them again. We're on season 1, disk 2. Male bonding.

Actually, CMFI is an odd bird. An entire mod was done to CMBN to make it seem like Italy and then the rug is pulled out from under it when BFC gives birth to CMFI! And then we did a mod TO CMFI to make it the Bulge!
