  1. @fabishdFGM Please check in sir! I would like to go for 6 Operational level turns but we can shut this down earlier if interest has waned...maybe just do 4.
  2. Oh, for the record, if you do desire to exit off Bren carriers or tanks or mortar crews, whatever, you may do so. At your discretion. Please just raise it to my attention when doing so, so I know where they exit off to so for follow on turns they are in the proper hex.
  3. Your repositioning is going great. I think he assumed you would dig in and defend Dommelen. I sometimes miss a turn as maybe you or mjkerner have the tidy up option on and delete the older turns.
  4. Wow! Adrenaline fueled white knuckle excitement here. I am loving see you 2 guys go at it. When are you gonna lay on some artillery? Those guys are back in the rear picking their toenails probably.... Next turn you get your nebelwerfers.....and the special "SS Panzershreck Lehr Zug". Can I think up some real plausible BS or what? edit: What do you think his spotting rounds were? Mortars or 25 pounders?
  5. I like how this is going. Very cat and mouse. I don't know exactly what he has planned but if he exits off, then that is kind of lame! Long range tank sniping! Gonna be exciting. If your Pak40's run out of ammo or seem too vulnerable, you may exit them off. But make sure I see where they exit so we both know what hex the head off to be in for next turn. Same with Flak guns, little IG's, on map mortars, trucks, flame half track, etc.
  6. Maybe have somebody give buddy aid and grab the sniper rifle and MP40! Like a weak team that normally has crap. A driver or ammo bearers? ++++++++++++++++++ If Chappy isn't careful and you can steamroller him...you might kick him off even the Dommel bridge 10 point hex! WOW! As umpire I would have to see him fully cleared of all points north of an east-west line cutting through the destroyed Dommel Brug and the small village where Penal Kompanie led Leutnant Burke defended back at Turn 1. Deelsherk? I forget the name... Note: north of that line could be some allied troops that are basically cowering and laying low. But no significant organized resistance. Food for thought. But a tempered defensive approach might be safer.
  7. Turn 2B, 0900 23 September 1944. No Luftwaffe until 1000! Here is what you can see....your 2 half-tracks pulled back to the rear to get some beer (blue line). The Soviets are posing for selfies next to the burning armored cars in the battle hex they took control of... AND a new pair of units came on map and trucked north until they bumped into your engineers.. No other movements. No defensive fire casualties due to allied movements. What are your orders herr General?
  8. Only a few axis vehicles were able to escape the snare. Over a dozen burnt out wrecks are left behind. Friendly fire destroyed 6 of our trucks and a heavy gun! 2 new Soviet units entered onto the map. A cavalry unit and a unit of T-60's. They pressed deep up the right edge of the map! More info and a fresh map and fresh OOB tomorrow. For Stalin! For Mother Russia!
  9. Here is the Post battle OOB. The armored car(nage) unit was destroyed. Anybody who got away from the armored cars before they started burning has been collected up in the only 2 roadworthy vehicles. A 250/3 and a 251/1. About 40 men including mjkerner and his FO team. Please disregard the "100%" in the unit box below. They will pull back several hexes and just curl up in the fetal position for the next turn.
  10. OK. I will redraw the map situation and annotate if any enemy (allied) casualties are known by the few men who escaped off map. Standby. Then it will be Turn 2B! Some of dis stuff.... And maybe some of dis stuff!
  11. The battle is nearly over. The Soviet force advanced rapidly and caught many of the axis vehicles....
  12. A tough one... But the luftwaffe is enroute. Hang in there!
  13. I tried to keep the same names for the tank commanders. Some of those guys have been in every battle so far!
  14. I hope everybody enjoys this DAR and I hope mjkerner enjoys the battle. Note: We do have real Canadian forumites playing the PBEMs...BUT the troops portrayed are the Irish Guards. Over on the CMFI forum we have troops that are 1st Canadian Infantry Division... easy to get this all confused. Shucks, we even have some real Irishmen involved!
  15. OK, I deleted it and reposted the new file. It all seemed OK now. Please check and see. I also fixed the SUZ issue. Good luck Oberst!
  16. weird! I also see it. Was NOT thjat way during my fun tests . OK. Let me totally restart it. OK?
