  1. Good, glad that pointed you in the right direction. The mod folder in the documents directory is the new approved location for mods. You can still put them in a z folder in the data directory of your install but on Windows that is, by default, not writable location. I still use it for version specific mods - like the animated text. That way I can run more than one version of the game - not a typical need I realize. Ah, that explains that then. Oh that does not sound good. If you do not have the v200 file then you are likely not running the latest version - what does version is listed in the main menu screen in the lower left corner? Missing the v100 files does not sound good either I don't see how things could be working without those files.
  2. No, don't ditch your CDs - they make excellent coasters for the coffee table. Super conversation starters
  3. Indeed it is. @darkdragoon, hang in there and (try to) enjoy the experimenting while you learn. I would recommend starting new threads in the game forums and not the tech support forum for questions you hit about game behaviour. You can also use google search to search the forum (often I find the built in search poor). In google's search window type: site:community.battlefront.com combine squad command Just as an example.
  4. The Blitz is running two scenarios this month. Sign up for the February scenario of the Month has started over at the Blitz. This month the scenarios are: CMFI: Biazzo Ridge CMBS: Bridgehead at Kharalyk The form post on theBlitz for sign up.

  6. Nice. Joking aside I, personally, don't quite put them in an empty field. What I do though is place the various teams separate from each other just outside good cover. So, in the field right next to the forest so they can disappear into cover if the need arises. Those places need to be selected so the teams have a clear view of a lot of sky and overlapping coverage.
  7. That would be tons of fun for sure. I'd buy it. That is a bit off topic for a thread about the Korean war. So, to bring it back on topic - I'd buy that too
  8. That does look odd. So, let me start by making sure I get what you are saying is happening - this is the main menu screen of CMFI and it some how has a Normandy mod files being displayed. Assuming I have that right and assuming this is on a PC here is what I recommend you check. There are two possible locations for mods: The game install itself; check the contents of <install location>\Combat Mission Fortress Italy\Data. There should be no sub folders under that directory. If there is they should be removed. The game's document folder; check the contents of <document directory>\Battlefront\Combat Mission Fortress Italy\User Data\Mods. To remove all nods you need to delete any files in this directory. There should also not be any files or folders under the User Data directory - except for any hotkeys.txt file - that is supposed to be there. There is one other thing that concerns me - the version number should be displayed in the lower right corner regardless of what mod is in use and I don't see anything there. I am not sure what it means to not have a version number displayed but I suspect it is not good. It might make sense to verify that the contents of the data folder is correct. If you look at the location from #1 there should be 11 .brz files: Fortress Italy v100A.brz Fortress Italy v100B.brz Fortress Italy v101.brz Fortress Italy v110.brz Fortress Italy v110A Gustav Line.brz Fortress Italy v110B Gustav Line.brz Fortress Italy v110C Gustav Line.brz Fortress Italy v111.brz Fortress Italy v112.brz Fortress Italy v100.brz Fortress Italy v200.brz
  9. Past demos have allowed H2H play. I have not heard that this one is different.
  10. Pot, meet kettle. Actually that's not fair really because the scenario designer are neither careless nor rude. How about this, as the kids say: "Because reasons". Does that work? You'll be posting to your self in short order.
  11. BFC does not set dates just guide lines. So, it's ready when it is done. Having said that Steve said it would not be too much longer. Check out the Shock Force 2 forum threads for specifics.
  12. So shock force 2 is not available yet - that's a pre-order so you have to wait on that one. The black Sea order should have a download associated with it. Check your My Orders list. Same for final blitzkrieg. If you are still having trouble I recommend contacting support since they can access your account information.
  13. The install should have created an active module short cut. If that didn't happen then make a new short cut to the game exe and add the command line argument -showui
  14. That would be nice. +1 Maybe. There are supply platoons that could get you close. I don't find AT guns running out of ammo much. Same Well technically tank destroyers are not supposed to be supporting infantry ?? I cannot check ATM but ii a QB infantry formations have no vehicles on purpose. The mech infantry formations should. An often requested feature. BFC have so far decided no to spend resources doing the work. Maybe one day but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. Would be cool You can double click a unit and that will highlight thier platoon. Just in case you didn't already know. My worry would be that this would lead to too much colour and not enough differentiation.
  15. I have a hunch. Only games and upgrades have download links with orders. Modules and packs do not. BFC is now putting all content into the game installers so when your game install is at the latest version you have all the modules and packs. The only thing you need to do to play then is active them. Fist verify that your game us up to date and then use the key from your order to activate the new content.
  16. Oh I am slightly unsafe with an axe. Usually more of a danger to myself though.
  17. If it was created with v4 then only the same or newer versions of the game can play it.
  18. What version do you have in the lower right corner of the main menu screen? If it is 2.00 then you need to install the patch to bring it up to 2.10
  19. Thanks I saw that - that is my plan too. Opening with an agessive air assault move to kick things off.
  20. That is interesting. I opened the shipped scenario without the mod and took those screen shots. I have no idea why the bahaviour would be different between us. Other than @sburke 's concern about your safety.
  21. I'll answer my questions plus - I owe you guys for my dumb forgot to read the manual stuff from earlier First what happens if you play the scenario with out the additional vehicles mod. The answer is the game an existing flavour object (I am going to guess last but it could be first or random) Here is checkpoint Eagle 1 without any mods: I created tagged versions of the mods for crops and the Ukranian digital cammo (but not the additional vehicles since they are additional flavour objects not replacements). Now using the vanilla scenario the separatists use the digital cammo: And the Blue For Ukranian's use the default cammo: Then I tagged the scenario and fired that up. It is a little dark but notice the face mask - the separatists are using the mod. and the Blue For Ukranians are still looking their default goodness: @MOS:96B2P I will PM you with the tagged mods and scenario and you can check it out.
  22. Added an additional link on mod tags - how to tag a scenario with multiple tags.
