  1. The game tracks every single projectile; bullets for certain, and at least in some abstract way, shrapnel, so finding cover, depressions, Hide Command all help preserve your pixiltruppen. Welcome aboard Pete and majorly!
  2. My Thanks to Augusto and Pete W. for your suggestions. Renaming worked like a charm. Broadsword, there is one problem, which you already probably thought about. Because the battle map "lies" on top of the "distant ground" tile, whatever one of those you use will extend out to the horizon. This means that a ground tile will just show, well....ground, all the way to the horizon. If you use a modded one to represent water, then when you zoom up from the map, it's surrounded by the water tile up to the horizon, which is fine looking north, but pretty funky looking in any other direction.

  4. Don't forget, though, that the Deploy command is to set up the tripod arrangement on the 34 and 42 (and I assume on the US and Brit MGs as well), and (I'm pretty certain) does not represent just resting the barrel on the window ledge.

  6. Broadsword, have you checked out the CMSF files yet to see if they work? I had the Beach mod, but no longer have CMSF on the 'puter. I can dl it, regardless. This mod should work becasuse I've used trees from CMSF before, and at most, it would be a renaming thing.
  7. Okay, got it. LLF's modded one works, but where the east and west mountains pics/bmps meet the northern one, there's an abrupt cut off of the terrain. I'll need to mask them so that the terrain trails off to where they each meet the northern one.
  8. Augusta, I'll try LLF's first, if not I'll do an alpha. If I screw it up, I'll come a-calling! (I'm doing other mods for Crete.)
  9. Broadsword, LLF has the distant ground tile modded to look like the ocean, but his "mountain" skyboxes are all just plain khaki-brown...no terrain or anything. I can whip up one using the same sky color as the ones with terrain that come with the game and see how that works.
  10. Broadsword, I think LongLeftFlank's Pacific mod has one. I'll check. Good catch, by the way.i'll need it for Maleme map, which I should be able to get started in a week or so. I have most of the sources gathered.
  11. Lol, yes they have, and I had checked the site out before because of that. When you mentioned it again, I thought I was just not looking hard enough on their site!
  12. Very true, but take a breach team composed of 2 KAR 98's and one MP40, and the MP40guy buys the farm...one of the KAR's isn't going to pick up the MP40? Besides, the game already has the ability to have a pixeltrooper carry more than one weapon, so in the time period of our games, I would think it would be very possible that at least those types of teams that are likely to be designated for close assualt would pick up usable rapid fire, close assault weapons.

  14. I figure I'd I would use both choppinIt's system against the AI and Broadsword's board game system in multiplayer. @sburke, I thought it was gonna be Where Eagles Dare and Devils Cauldron for the MG campaign. Guess I missed the change to SEiH? @kip, I really like "broad games"....;-)
