  3. i agree with 76mm transferring of maps would make LIFE SO MUCH EASIER ...lol and is handy and cool to see the change from one environment to the other
  4. some ecxellent posts and responses posted. alot of the games mentioned i have played, hearts of iron 3, combat mission series (obviously) close combat (exhaustively) panzer general...the list gos on. and the total war series to answer a previous question posted. ;-) this new CMX2 series of combat mission is really impressing me, every announcement is a jump in leaps and bounds of what i call the best war game. is like i recall reading somewhere, the only downers to me, are the limitation to your machine and the size of battle, (which is sort of a natural element the way i look at it) any machine can only do so much. and the endless supply of material that is avaliable to choose to be built for the games, one for sure i'm glad to see the return of the FLAK VEHICLES. :-D

  6. copy and paste is probably the better straighter answer, the problem im having is when activating a mod, after ensuring the BMP are in the folder and all the rule sets are with it to ensure they display in the mod manager, they don't display in game..having issues like this, last night i activated the panther g mod, to no luck, tonight i do the same and it shows? lol
  7. Can anyone lend a hand with the mod enable for CMBO? The files won't overwrite tho it appears i have the paths all correct.?
  8. this is a mystery of some sort, lol... all comes down to compatible drivers and what not, i'm only just starting to get trouble with the old CMX1 series with some graphical black blocks on me screen, ever since moving to an ATI Card, i hate ATI. NVIDIA always had better support and less issues for me...however i tried the 2 demos of CMBB & CMAK with the 1.-4 patch and hey presto it works with no black blobs, now this sucks, i'm gona have to spend more money just because of stupid ATI..lol. i would move to win 7 in a second if i knew this would be fixed (no fog issue). i don't ever understand how the previous technologies / versions aren't ever much intergrated let alone supported. I have been a sole user of win xp for some time now.. @ Redwolf, it works ok for you on win 7? do you get the fog tho? mmmm?

Hey all....had to take on a urgent upgrade little while back and fancied some old CMBB, and have discovered a graphical error.. i've re installed the game, re patched it to 1.03 and it still troubles me tried to upload pic, but how you can see anything within a pic within the resrictions is beyond me, hard enough to get it to fit..:cool: am running a ATI RADEON 5800
  10. much more grand scale, like, say, a huge dynamic campaign system....to put it across simply... Hearts of iron 3 + combat mission this would be a sensational war game of the period...not only would you feal the length of the war but also the economic struggle and production of war material.. then, once the battle starts, you go to the most awesome 3D battle field simulator.
  11. can i ask, with the new map editor features, with the picture underlay that you build the map over, will this show the terrain height? or will we have to try and put it in manualy... been trying to make a scenario from a book "panther vs sherman 76" these new updates would be fantastic..

  13. I've posted this question in a few places, lol...sorry to drone on, but i must. so there. what i would like to ask, is, now that BF has started a new standalone title with its own additional modules, < (small hint) lol.. is that the end for the normandy title in terms of modules?
  14. Hi all.. first off, can't wait for the next module.. but mainly...was wanting to ask if anyone knew where one could obtain old pictures and maps...obviously being of ww2 era... Ive seen http://www.ww2incolor.com/ but price is a bit of an issue at the moment.. any ideas.. thanks in advance.. Norm.

I'm slightly disapointed to be honest. why is it that when ever a module comes out. the "axis" gets the smallest expansion. ? there are plenty of vehicles to bulk the axis up with. stug 4? brumbar? 251/22 (tho i think that'd be hard to model someone said in the past with incorperating at guns onto a vehicle model)
  16. can some one explain how a tanks LOS, won't spot a tank that's right next to it, or just like 20m meters down a straight street right in front? just had a quick battle and i couldn't believe the blindness of my tankers, lol you would'a thought the commander wouldv'e seen something while risking his neck out the top..lol

  18. what would be nice is to see them have the same vehicles that are in normandy now, put into future modules and families, only thing to bear in mind is the "front" specific vehicles, not every vehicle was on every front, take examples like the elephant/ferdinand as for one example.
  19. after the patch, game seems much more stable, am able to have more larger battles without it crashing (yet) lol have also tried LAN / INTERNET match in real time, is fun and i like it, but i'd still prefer WEGO in 2 player and the ability to save the completed game file. doe's get a bit hectic and everywhere when playing anything bigger than a company, and you tend not to pay attention at placing units in the exact spot you want them at, just select and click, is a bit of a mess..lol but all n all. i am enjoying it. want more ! lol
