Scenario Discussions
normannobrot replied to Sgt Schultz's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
its a shame when making realy lage scenarios that you get the failed memory msg, believes its been brought up before on a thread somewhere on here, basicly due to the game engine not being able to support too much, with scenery and vehicles n all... main point im trying to make is that that is gona be worse in CBMN, as the terrain is far more detailed and built up than in CMSF.. we'll have to wait n see -

fealing a saving private ryan scenario comng along..lol. gotta hold that bridge.. -
hey all.. just saw some game pics and its sturred up a question, the trucks in CBMN, germans show them with just the frame, for the canvas cover to go over, tho in some pics, there shows 2 us trucks, one with a cover on and a cover off? will both sides have trucks with covers on? and off? will there be any system in place to choose which the player prefers?

one thing im glad of tho is their attention to the camo schemes, realy ties in the "normandy feal" one thing i hate in the early CMBO, was the different contrast between some vehicles...some had superb schemes, but were just done to bright.. pretty much still playing the old CMX1's...isnt anything out on the market close to it... maybe CLOSE COMBAT...by matrix games...but aint got round to buying them yet. -
Noob.. Have you ever checked out the table top war game called flames of war?.. they have details in their books of several companys..which would be easy to add up or build the full battalion, as its roughly 3-4 companys per battalion. if you fancy it, i can scan some sample pages of the book, well, if it will fit in me weee scanner, but theyve roughly got it detailed as, 1 X HQ platoon 3 X COMBAT PLATOONS 1 X HVY WEAPONS PLATOON as one company, as ive read earlier on this thread, your main problem would be things like yer mechanised artillery for yer battalion support. hope it helps regards bubba

Is CMBB Windows 7 friendly... ?
normannobrot replied to kipanderson's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
this is why i swear by windows xp. so many games are turning into nightmare headache's cos their not fully supported. what a shame..and whats this DRM? i know what it is but they sure kept it quiet about it being included in the patch?, but then again, in their defense, if its like the DRM which came with shock force, then thats about the best DRM your gona get nowadays.. -
ATI's, radeon? would never waste my money on a radeon card,, glad to hear you got i working ok on win 7, nvidia all the way ...(for next system) lol

i have a licence issue at the moe. have 2 desktop systems. which had both liscence's installed. i then de-activated one, and let me brother try the game out with marines and british module..all worked well on his side, but am now having trouble re-activating one of the liscences on my 2nd desktop even tho (with his word :-/) that he has un-liscenced it on his end.... any one had this???

Find this a tad disturbing...
normannobrot replied to noxnoctum's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
so...... let me get this straight, if i had 2 machines (which i do) for LAN...in regards to playing CM:SF and later titles, and i wanted to do a LAN match (TCP/IP) Its NOT in WEGO turned base with the realy cool minuite replay? or is it WEGO but without the replay minuite?? if i understand it right, its only in real time.. as you may notice ive been confused by what ive read here as some of us are stating one thing and some the other, lol.... -
am i being rude? (chopper)
normannobrot replied to normannobrot's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
cheers all for posting on this thread. makes a good read, apart from the politics. lol say, i must agree with some on here, cant wait for CM:N....oh baby. -
love the new modules coming out, realy cant wait for NATO. but i do think its getting a bit un-balanced now, i mean the add-on will add 3 new armies to the blue side, and only 3 to 4 new vehicles to the syrian side? correct me if im wrong, (or being rude) lmao. but i think we need more bad guys. ta

NATO: NO german marder?
normannobrot replied to normannobrot's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
i would have to go with the marder, looks sweet. Do any of those have AT abilities? like the bradley? shame there couldnt be more added to the syrians tho, seems a one sided sort of thing. -
ignore this post. sorry.

Hello everyone.. am just wanting to know if the skinner's/modders would respect some good feed back from their skins??? as ive realy got some favourites mainly with the shade of colour that some of you have picked are just spot on.. would you like feed back? recomendations? maybe vehicle selections???? im not trying to sound like im "requesting" mods, but maybe some simple revisions???....(tho i dont know how "simple" it is) --(still learning) for example..alot of the early grey stugs are like a dark blue grey? (see MikeyD's early stug F). would be good to see some of those in a light grey schemes too..(see MikeyD's stug E).... sorry to use you as an example mike, but i just think your panzer grey schemes are just spot on.. ....
