  1. I haven't seen any others, but I have been thinking about making a "2nd American Civil War" campaign/scenarios for awhile. If I get around to it...
  2. Entertaining movie; but I wouldn't want someone to walk away thinking that it is an accurate picture of Iraq.
  3. This is how I picture it Title: US Aircav/Leg/Airborne infantry(all pretty similar) + Mech Infantry vs NVA Module 1: CIDG + LRRP vs VietCong Module 2: ARVN + Marines Module 3: ANZAC Module 4: The rest
  4. 3 Points, 1 is guarded by armor the other is guarded by a bunker. There are also a few trenches, some of which hold troops, others sometimes hold troops. Bad guys hiding out in buildings, and some roving patrols. The best I have done on this mission is just barely take and hold all 3 points and kill a bunch of bad guys with no casualties. This one is very easy to mess up because you can't hammer your way through it.
  5. I love those old Afghanistan pictures. Brings back good memories and shows me that very little has changed.
  6. I'm cool so long as there are Bren tripods. No tripods, though, and the game is fundamentally flawed.
  7. Weapons are a material expression of strength. Very valuable in all forms. Screenshots are hot ****! Can't wait!
  8. I don't understand. Why would someone be a moron for driving one of these?
  9. Very amusing, C3k. I have noticed, however, that my Apaches are less likely to saturate my soldiers with random rocket fire and I consider that to be a major plus. What part of NC?
  10. Yes, it should tell you what they have. Part of the regular CAS procedure is the pilot informing the user what ordinance he is carrying.
  11. Cool. Viking Hammer doesn't get enough air time. A tough fight for such a small and undersupported force. Masters of Chaos has a pretty good overview of the before/after and the battle itself.
  12. Abraham was the first Jewish Patriarch and established the covenant, which was passed to Isaac and Jacob.
  13. Yeah. Unfortunately, with the recent approval to sell 280 M1awhatevers to Iraq, we may actually see this in action some day.
  14. I don't expect the mod potential to change, they've been modable since CMBO.
  15. It must be perfect or the game is fundamentally flawed. Forever.
  16. I think I've seen this before. Honestly, my problems with grenades and MOUT are ******* M203 gunners who think it's funny to shoot grenades at everyone's feet.
  17. Thanks for the AAR. About the surrendering. I can fix that by simply having some Red forces off-map, is that worth it? I have played it this way, and they do fight to the death. Glad you liked the briefing. It isn't perfect, and I have to get back into the habit of writing a proper OPORD. It's been awhile since I had to actually do one, so I'm still rusty. To achieve 0 casualties, did you blow open the walls, cancel movement order, and then fire into the buildings? I always take casualties on the actual room clearing. On occasion, someone will get hit while trading shots with bad guys in other buildings.
  18. This is why I like other people playing my scenarios. I have never taken a single casualty outside the walls, and I'm usually done within 10 minutes. Grymm, where did you position your men and at what point did you lose guys? Thanks for playing and responding, too.
  19. Well, the Blue side doesn't have any AI plans, so they won't actually do anything to you. For raising their skill level, I'm not so sure. When I first started testing the scenario, I could walk away with only 2 or 3 casualties. But now, I find that I routinely take 6-9. I've even lost an entire squad once due to some ******* firing a grenade at everybody's feet, pinning himself, and being executed by the sole surviving Muj in the building. I might try it, just to see what happens. The idea for the "larger" map is to have several patrols, or areas occupied by Muj, that the player will have to navigate around. Too bad there are no triggers, otherwise I could have Muj hunt Blue upon detection and chase them around the map.
  20. When it actually worked, the Medium IED did wound him. I wonder if I drove the Stryker between the IED and triggerman and broke LOS to the bomb? I playtesting the actual scenario and I'm interested in seeing what the Large IED will do to my guinea pig Stryker, assuming it works.
  21. As far as I'm aware, only some British vehicles are equipped with jamming devices. I forgot about Scen Test and will run that to see. Okay, it just worked with the test, but I don't know what was different. The Medium IED didn't do much, just some minor damage to tires, so it will have to be replaced with something else, I think.
