  1. Careful when you use the word terrorist Mr. Lee. Don't want to get the sympathising, conspiracy theorist group riled, do we?
  2. Not just in switzerland, but apparently that's where it originates from?
  3. Ah yes the venerable Bone B, ever the interesting cas platform. I imagine it is fairly effective however.
  4. Sure that's the perception in.......Buitenzorgistan? I'd like to think that our military promotes our reputation very well abroad. Just following orders ya know.
  5. Christmas release? Ok i know when it's ready, but it sure would make a nice gift for myself.
  6. Once again the russians are a day late.
  7. I only ask because I care. Yeah PT if you haven't been doing it, will be the worst part of your day for a while, after a while you start looking forward to it(at least I do). Keep up the running, it's usually the biggest killer of pt test takers. Congratulations on your enlistment!
  8. recognize that tent anywhere. How goes the enlistment anyways Mord?
  9. These were taken at a recruiting event? No?
  10. Well put Falconander. Obviously couldn't say it better myself.
  11. Guess it depends on your point of view. For those of us still serving having lost friends and maybe family. To think back on their life as one given in the name of freedom and the pursuit of happiness. It brings a smile to my face knowing that such men/women existed and still exist to this day. Remember those that have come before, and pray for those currently serving. Thank you and Happy Veterans Day.
  12. To you and yours. Happy Veterans/Remembrance day.
  13. LRC have you tried using "SLOW" to cross rubble, and are you talking about building rubble or wall rubble.
  14. Yeah all this is well and good. When is Battlefront going to officially announce it.
  15. Agreed chainsaw, I had to call a ceasefire, I didn't want to see the rest of my Marines go down under a red cross. We'll be back with more fire support later
  16. I came to the party late, but is battlefront going to make some of the scenarios that will be available to us? I do enjoy the quality of the scenarios that come with your games.
  17. I agree LLF, as far as I can see your map looks awesome. It would be a crime against CMSF to not release it if you are not going to put a campaign to it. I really hope you do, but if not, well, let's set up some battles in Ramadi?
  18. No there is not. But there is definitely an accuracy difference with the M-16A4 over the M-4, as there should be. Currently my weapon is an M-4 but I would love to take my old 16 back into combat. Just a better distance rifle for obvious reasons.
  19. This is absolutely correct. On top of that it is almost impossible to make First Sergeant without said tab.
  20. Agreed Clavicula, When I went to Air Assault School in Fort Campbell, I was deathly afraid of the "confidence climb" and the "tough one". You just have to go with the flow when you get to the top, cause gravity will eventually bring you back to earth....it's just how do you want to get there? I would tell you not to look down but you will when your about halfway up it anyways. It's really not that bad.
  21. "Don't let your recruiter screw you." First off let me start by congratulating you on your decision to enlist. I myself just came off recruiting duty in June of this year. I will tell you that I'd rather have been deployed to Iraq/Afghanistan for that same number of years. At least there you have a better idea of who the enemy is. From what I've read you are doing this as more of an adventure/ change of pace/ fulfill a life long dream kind of thing? Correct me if I'm wrong. Mord you need to be very up front with your recruiter as to what you want. What I will tell you is that they can not begin to promise you anything until you asvab is knocked out. After that, then they can start talking jobs, bonuses, extra schools i.e. airborne/ranger/SF candidate.....Next you need to think of every question you can possibly think of to ask the man/woman you are working with. If you feel that he/she is giving you a raw deal on the whole thing, go to go army.com and look for the next closest recruiting station by area code or city and ask the recruiters at that station the same questions. By the sounds of your practice test scores and this is just going from experience, you'll probably score in the low 60's to high 70's. Which will qualify you for the Infantry pending the job vacancy exists. Most likely with that score you will also receive a bonus(disclaimer: A bonus is just that, do not be disappointed if the job you want does not come with a bonus). Next comes the physical. You will probably stay the night at the meps hotel the night prior. Make sure to pack nice casual clothes, a non offensive t-shirt and jeans with no holes. Also make sure you wear close toed shoes and boxer or briefs underwear(beleive me there's a reason why this is briefed). When you arrive at the meps in the morning you will check in with the army liason. At this point they will pull your medical forms from you packet and send you to the control desk to get you checked in with the medical personnel. First things first, urinalysis and breathalyzer. After that you'll move from station to station going through vision, hearing, basic physical procedures, they'll draw blood for hiv testing purposes. Oh yeah Height and Weight is a big deal. Your recruiter should measure you up before scheduling you meps visit. Once you've cleared the physical, you will be sent to lunch. When you return the Guidance Counselor in the Army Guidance office will sit down with you(eventually ) When you sit down with him he is going to ask you what you want to do, and then follow on questions will come to try to get the things you want in the least painful way possible, but basically at this point you need to tell him your desires. Once your contract has been finalized and digitally signed it will be printed out and you will be sent to do a security interview. Once the interview is completed you will be finger printed for more background checks. You will return to the army guidance office and await the swearing in ceremony. Pending on the officer doing the swearing in your wait could be extensive. Over all prepare to make a complete day of it. Meps is boring, and long, and boring, and long, and repetitive like this last line. Hurry up and wait. Your recruiter will brief you as what to expect down there and give you the ins and outs. Remember to listen very, very carefully to everything he tells you about meps as it's for your success during the process. If you have any questions mord, any at all feel free to PM me or just put it out here in this thread and i will respond as quickly as possible. Once again congratulations on your decision, hope to see you out here soon.
  22. That's disappointing to hear LLF. It seemed like it was coming along really nicely too. I know about real life getting in the way though, i've thrown together some small hodge podge type stuff but never really got into building AI plans are anyting of the like because I don't have time. Nice looking map though. Hope you find the time to go ahead and finish. Best wishes.
