  1. But you can select individual tanks and other vehicles in a platoon/whateverformationyougetthemin. And infantry squads, etc. It would be nice to have this functionality, but not at the cost of other things!
  2. Yowza. Nice little look at the manual! And of course, the game itself.
  3. ...Yeaaah I think posts like this might, in part, be why they won't be added.
  4. Take my money. Please? Please. Really. It's okay, you guys have earned every penny.
  5. Those are some damn fine screenshots. Although is that a midget driving the Humvee? [ May 23, 2007, 12:10 PM: Message edited by: Dr. Zoidberg ]
  6. EDIT: Do not write replies late at night.
  7. This is the stuff that makes great preview videos.
  8. Bringing this back up. There is a gentleman on the Paradox forums asking whether or not CMSF will run under Windows 2000. I assume the answer is yes, but uhh, is it? [ May 05, 2007, 06:05 AM: Message edited by: Dr. Zoidberg ]
  9. It would certainly be nice, if they are able to.. [ April 30, 2007, 03:08 PM: Message edited by: Dr. Zoidberg ]
  10. Paradox BFC has been rather cagey about a giving a clear response, however...
  11. It's only a month and a half, if they hit the published date.
  12. I had thought that .338 Lapua was mostly used by euros, with 7.62mm being the standard for the US in that department? Seems to do the trick, anyway. And if it doesn't... this or this oughta do.
  13. I can hear Steve crying out in horror already. Perhaps they had anticipated it. Lovely looking rifle in either case, I hope it makes it in
  14. A possible resurgence of Photos of the Day in progress here?
  15. I was heavily addicted to CC3 MP campaigns with a friend of mine, but neither of us can fork over the cash for Cross of Iron. I agree that it doesn't really look like it's worth the price of admission, if you have CC3.
  16. Then I hope Close Combat is never produced in 3D. I quite enjoy CC and am one of those somewhat younger players. But I can easily just change "Wow, I could've been playing CMBB instead" to "Wow, I could've been playing CC3 instead" and it has the same effect. Okay. I will be quiet, I think I have established that ToW is not the game for me. If you guys get a trickle of cash coming from this, great!
  17. I agree completely with the things you've mentioned. Basically, when I had finished playing, my impression was.. "Wow, I could've been playing CMBB instead" That seems a bit harsh, I admit. ToW is a decent game.. If I spend more time familiarizing myself with it and turn a blind eye to many annoying aspects (like putting that MG34 near the top of the hill only to find out I can't move it the rest of the way..) then I would no doubt enjoy it more. But it isn't Combat Mission (and obviously it is not intended to be). When I finish a session of CMSF I don't want to think I could've been playing CMBB instead. I want to think about when I'll play CMSF again. CMBB might enter my thought processes at some point, but to think "Damn, can't wait for the WW2 release." 18. Price is definitely a welcome surprise, and well within budget even with the *shudder* exchange rate. But I wonder how much Battlefront's digi download + mail deal will be.. That's the one that really interests me.
  19. http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6794192#post6794192 Are those new screenshots? I don't recognize them.
  20. But just wait until the mutants attack! The mutants, Steiner, that's what these games are about. Innovation? Pah. 1337 monsterz are the way to go. Actually, that really ruined Farcry for me. Very traumatic. Something tells me I'll be skipping Crysis, for my own wellbeing and that of my GPU. [ April 18, 2007, 09:01 AM: Message edited by: Dr. Zoidberg ]
  21. I saw "Demo" in the title of a sticky, and immediately jumped.. But apparently it's TOW, not CMSF That will teach me to read the forums when I'm half-asleep. Ah well, good enough for now! Eagerly downloading. [ April 18, 2007, 08:35 AM: Message edited by: Dr. Zoidberg ]
