  1. I think that's what they were called in CMx1, they were the alternative to scenarios where multiple battles were fought on a single map (with shifting lines and persistent damage). Are these in CMSF, I've only read about scenarios and the campaign?
  2. But it's a 200 page manual, you know you want it......
  3. I watched one of the videos of CM:SF and it does have death animations. So no further need for the crazy people to post about blood and gore now.
  4. A then play demo while I wait for it to arrive!
  5. This getting a little crazy but I'm still not sure about my question (I don't want blood or gore in a CM game). I'm only wondering if when a unit gets hit do they fall over with an animation or do they suddenly change into a different posture without animation like CMx1?
  6. Don't care about blood, I just want to know if there is a graphic effect when a unit is hit and if units have death animations?
  7. Now that the game is nearly done, I was wondering if units had death animations when they got deaded? As opposed to CMx1's snap to death pose system when a squad was lost. Also will hit effects (not necessarily blood puffs or any blood at all) be shown when a unit is hit? Also, I'm going a bit OT with this but will vehicles have cool visual damage models (like shell hit holes, scorch marks, bits getting blown off or the whole unit getting tipped over)? Thanks I was just wondering about stuff since I'm excited and stuff.
  8. If this is the UI that will be in the final (it's different to the old descriptions on the forum sticky), is that pyramid thing on the left side like a "suppression'o'meter"? The 3 boxes above it I guess are the command links available to the unit and above those is the stats for the unit. Right of the command links those 4 vertical bars, is that a indicator of ammo or available weapon "power"? Right of that I guess is the support weapon interface (no more cycling through my units to find the spotters anymore!) The only other thing I was wondering about is what the little icons next to unit weapon icons in the middle mean?
  9. use IEDs in "we go" mode? How can you precisely trigger your IED when you can only give orders every 60 seconds? Can you trigger them anytime regardless of play mode?
  10. I had one old suggestion: Can burning/smoking vehicles remain burning/smoking for the entire mission instead of stopping after a while?
  11. Shockwave! How did you see the effect the screen is all blurry and low res?
  12. Cool vids and yes that is a 2D sprite used in all the explosions (place holder?) and it has been used in many games. In the "firefight" video I like how they're all just set to attack the patch of ground in front of them not an enemy (maybe there's an enemy there?). If you pause the playback after the action phase in game can you look at the missiles in flight and are they detailed?
  13. Hello I'm back, I did some snooping on all those youtube sites and found all of the Russian MGs use red while the Chinese MGs are green (not that there are many videos of them)! Here's some guys firing at a range in china they appear to be using the green tracers.
  14. Not sure what's going on now but here's my knowledge: Russian tracers are green computer games and WW2 stories in real life they probably use green or red. The speed required for a substantial Doppler shift in light is well past our capabilities.
  15. I like when the tracer cartridges get flung up into the air and float down. Also the bright sparks that appear when the truck is hit, are those impact sparks or disintegrating tracers?
  16. Yes but as he has said the tank only had 1 track!
  17. Syrian Cause, well nobody likes the US
  18. Well CM:BO had unbalanced tanks as well, the US tanks were no match for the German tanks but you could still beat them. It's not how good you tech is but how you use it. At the start of WW2 French tanks were superior to German but the combined blitzkrieg tactics defeated the French defensive line very effectively. It's all about the tactics!
  19. I was wondering about physics in CMx2 as well, will vehicles have a physics model so they will be thrown around by violent explosions? Will tanks lurch back when firing there cannon, will jeeps do little jumps when they hit a bump at high speed and will strykers flip over when blown up by 3 152HEAT shells?
  20. Cool video, how do we detonate IEDs in "we-go" mode? Are they just like proxy mines?
  21. Well for a start they won't be getting their hollow point ammo as it's a breach of the Geneva convention . There has been a trend for countries to move away from the 7.62 to 5.56, they could just pick up an AKM if they wanted more power.
  22. Yeah we know where "England" is but where is "ENLAND"
  23. Well it still has the "we go" style with the various orders you give to your units and then watch them try to do it. It also has the same and an even greater emphasis on realism.
