  1. Update on that Hvy weapon warp bug: I moved a AT-3 squad into position and the launcher was in place as normal, then at the beginning of next round it had vanished! I looked around but couldn't find it as usually they just go back to their previous location but it wasn't there! I gave up and targeted a tank with it, it fired and there was this distant boom so I looked over and found the launcher. It had decided to warp all the way over to the other side of the map........ or rather 50m under it! It was sitting on the background texture firing missiles up into the underside of the map. This happens to all deployable weapons in WEGO mode.

I'll start with mine: Craters that were created in a turn will appear at the start of that turns replay instead of when they were created. Sometimes heavy weapons, like a kornet will warp back to their original position from the start of the turn at the start of the next turn. This leads to the gunner of the weapon being in one place and firing a weapon which is detached from the unit. The missile will still originate from the launcher but since it uses the gunners LOS it can be made to fly straight into a wall in front of it.

  5. Yeah a stat screen would be good, I like being able to check the kill tally for units at the end of a battle. Also buying units for a quick battle would be excellent for custom battles, the current options are very broad. More difficulty options for fog of war and such? Ohh and a right click pop up order list would be fantastic!

The strat AI would be as good as the designer wants it for senarios but in this new QB mode(I thought they were giving QB a miss this time when was it announced?!) the strat AI is randomly generated for map and parameters (something like: defend this point or attack this point) so it's not going to be very complex. This is just a guess though. Also since this is about AI is the tac AI better than the article says?

  11. Neat, are the different RPG-7 sights and warheads (pictured) still in?
  12. In Steel Panthers you could engage with one weapon by pressing it's corresponding number with an attack order. In CM:SF it shouldn't be that hard to add a attack with weapon order and then another menu pops up and you click the weapon.
  13. Well if someone's up to it all it would take is a reskin of the units and changing the ground textures to desert textures. You'd have to play on the same maps but you can strip off any trees/house that are unwanted. Oh and the 88Flak would be necessary!
  14. Ok I was probably thinking of another game, speaking of which maybe you should try the Steel Panthers method of engaging with one weapon?
  15. From the top of my head: You can tell a unit to engage with a certain weapon so yes you can attack with just the m203. CM:SF has 4 tabs of orders with each tab having 9 orders and you can link the orders up, so it's much more complex than CMx1 Here's the link to an explanation: http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=52;t=000537 Oh and I think the orders have been moved to the right side now!
  16. Tanks and vehicles that burn for the whole game. Better anti-armor weapons on planes. Flame-throwers?
  17. It's allot better than it was in the earlier shots where the ancient non-licensed brand fire effect was used. Also the fire smoke is turned off in the vid. As for the ATGM and the RPG through the balcony, remember this is not some super pretty DX10 graphics spectacular, the core of the game is in the coding and realism. All the pretty models are there as a bonus and that units can actually stand on balconies or at windows is a huge leap forward.   18. It was, how do you say? DEAD! They don't always catch fire. I like how the door stays open if it gets knocked out when it's open. I wonder if you can see KIA troops inside APCs if they happen to get killed there and the doors open? [ July 10, 2007, 12:01 PM: Message edited by: Flanker15 ]
  19. Speeking of AA armor is the ZSU 23-4 Shilka in? The Syrians have 300+ of them and they're very bad for planes and people! Red trucks are important but I guess a blue truck re-skin would suffice.
  20. So there's no way to have battles fought over a shifting front line on one map with consistent damage? That's a bit sad.

  23. Cool, so if I play a map twice in a campaign will and destroyed vehicles and buildings still be there?
