  1. Yes, it is. I cannot yet prove the REAL TIME mode.
  2. In the beta i'm playing, yes. I don't know whether in the last beta the game has improved or not in this aspect. In my shots you can see that there are only empty boxes but there are some "red carpets" on the floor in some buildings. I don't know if this is intentional or maybe the "red carpet" is only a spot to mark a texture that will be added in futures versions of the beta. The most impressive thing i have see playing the beta is watching the troops jumping the walls to assault with nades a building. In CMSF the troops can jump the walls (the short ones, of course) or put a charge in the buildings to open a hole and move through it. The urbanwarfare in CMSF rules. This is what happens when the troops carried in a Stryker receive the order to go FAST to an adjacent building. First, i select in what level of the building i whant to go. Level 1, 2 or maybe the roof? The Stryker unloads the troops, that form around the vehicle in defensive posture. When the troops have unloaded they ran to the objetive. Upstairs ("empty box" building and the "red carpet" to the left of the screenshot) Finally, the roof. [ June 26, 2007, 02:49 AM: Message edited by: Haplo_Patryn ]
  3. Hi all. I have had the pleasure to be the first player in Spain to play a beta of CMSF. Friendware (the spanish company that will distribute the game in my country) provided me with an early beta of the game. The beta has some problems (there are some textures missing, CTD, and the IA is not a good opponent at all) but it shows the potencial of the game in all the aspects. Graphically the game is awesome and the addiction and playability are great. Although the IA is not completely implemented in the beta and it's a very early one, the game rocks and i have had the most enjoyable moments of the last months playing a game. All the CM fans will find easy to get accostumed to CMSF. All the orders (except 2 o 3 that are new) are the same of the others CM games. The waypoints, the key words, the waypoints, the sounds, etc, are practically the same that you can find in CMBB or CMAK. I have played the beta from the last week and it's getting better and better every game i play. Here is a link to the preview with some interesting screenshots. http://puntadelanza.net/Foro/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6063 This game will be a MUST HAVE.
  4. On behalf of Puntadelanza (spanish Combat Mission Website), I would like to thank you Battlefront for sharing with us these exclusive "bone" shots about CM Shock Force. Very impressive! These shots show an urban combat. We can see a mix of vehicles and land troops, soldiers firing on roofs, sneaking and taking casualties. Thank you Battlefront! These shots are from an early beta, of course. [ January 16, 2007, 02:49 AM: Message edited by: Haplo_Patryn ]
  5. No problem Moon Yes, the graphics are stunning but very unrealistic. A RTS with stunning graphics, you know. That's why i'm looking forward news about CMx2. I can't help it

  7. I'm from Spain and here we use "¿" when we begin a question, and "?" when we end it. Our keyboards are adapted in order to use ?¿
  8. He was captured by the ruskies About question marks, i don't get it. What exactly do you want to know?
  9. I think the most important question here is not if a Sherman can knocked out a Tiger from 600-700 meters or not, but if is possible to cheat playing by PBEM. I think it's very difficult to read the "language" of the PBEM files and more difficult is to modify them to "get advantage" (cheat) playing CM by PBEM. I'm sure this question has been discussed here before but i don't know is Battlefront has something to tell about it. Is it possible to cheat by PBEM?. That's the question. Personally i don't think so. Maybe but very, very unlikely. PD: Ah!, BTW, are you sure guys that "bounce shot" is modelled in CM?. Some mates of my community don't think so. Is it really possible that a T-34/85mm firing at a Panther could destroy another T-34/85mm after the shell have bounced at the Panther armor?. "Bounce shots" are modelled in CM?. I thought that CM's engine didn't "follow" the shell after it had bounced at an armor. [ July 13, 2005, 04:25 PM: Message edited by: Haplo_Patryn ]
  10. Well, thank you very much for your answers, specially Moon and Fernando (alias Fernado Carrera? ). As i said before, the money is not the problem. The problem is that the information in CMAK FAQ is far to be detailed. A little more detailed information would have been fine, as Moon have remarked too. Clearly i have misunderstood the meaning of the FAQ but if you know how many spaniards have bought the game from Battlefront you wouldn't believe, and they thought as me that the game wasn't going to be sold in my country by a national dealer. Well, thanks again and i beg your pardon if my words sounded a little harsh. I was confused Ah, one more thing....Keep up the good work!. We are expecting with delight the future CMX2
  11. I didn't rely on one source only, Ant. Here is what the FAQ of CMAK in Battlefront says: Will European players be able to purchase CMAK directly from Battlefront.com? YES, they will be able to purchase the game in English, French and German directly version from us, online without restriction, regardless of where you live. The game ships in a new multi-language format allowing you to choose to install and play the game in English, French or German. Localized versions in German and French will be also be available in European retail stores through a distribution partner. So, where is Spain here?. If i understand correctly what this FAQ says, there is no localized version in Spain. The problem is not the money, the problem is that Battlefront has forgotten us, the spaniards [ December 18, 2003, 10:55 AM: Message edited by: Haplo_Patryn ]
  12. No i don't have still the game , this is another problem
  13. Hi. I'm a spanish fan gamer of Combat Mission and i would like to know why Battlefront have changed its mind about the distribution of CMAK here in my country. Martin van Balkon and Battlefront said in a CMAK interview: "CMAK will not be available in stores, you can only buy it online from us for both the PC and Mac platform, and it will be delivered via mail". Here is the link: CMAK interview So i ordered CMAK two weeks ago when Battlefront announced it in its web and the CMAK price was charged in my credit card. All looked ok. But what is my surprise when i see in a couple of "Pc games webs" that Proein (spanish dealer) is announcing that... ¡¡¡CMAK will be available in spanish stores on 22-12-2003!!!! and cheaper than buying CMAK from Battlefront (30 € in Spain). ¡¡¡WHAT THE HELL?!!! "It cannot be possible" i thought, but it was true  A lot of spanish Combat Mission players and me, of course, have the nasty feeling that we're stupids or something similar. What had happened here?. Why Battlefront hasn't said nothing about the spanish dealer?. Why Battlefront have changed its mind?. Why, why? If Battlefront says that CMAK will not be available in stores it's meaning that CMAK WILL NOT BE AVALAIBLE IN STORES. It's clear, isn't it? I don't know, maybe i'm missing something here?. Please, we need answers [ December 18, 2003, 08:10 AM: Message edited by: Haplo_Patryn ]
