  2. Dont forget you got 2 SMAWs per Platoon and the AAV and trucks are full of reloads for them... use them.. I always save my Javelins for those irritating BMP-3 and later on to clean up the tanks in the built up areas.
  3. 1.What version do you have? in 1.20 if you hower over the inventory of the squad/vehicle a blue line will show up with the name of the item. 2. You cant. once its picked up its yours to keep, you cant unload it again. Only way to get a javelin moved between squads is if the javelin operator dies and another squad does buddy aid and picks it up. 3. No, its either RT (real time) mode or Turn based, you decide this every time you start a mission. if you play turnbased you can skip the 1 min show or just forward fast. 4. No, enemy surrender and time running out is a way to. and you wont be punished if you cease fire. unless you havent meet your mission goals because then you loose points.
  4. thats just the problem, you never have enough Smoke...
  5. Hcrof, I didnt notice your post before, ofcourse you can use this material for the community guide, and all the other posts ive written before about other tactical stuff. /Thomas
  6. I have no intresst in being able to blow bridges up, but I am intressted in having bridges blown up from "earlier" moments, in other words before the scenario begins. So, will you have some placeholder or something that can look like a blown bridge? like the begining and the ends of the bridge still there and the rest have collapsed down. Or something similar to give scenario creators the option to do collapsed bridges betther then what we have in CMSF right now? Cheers Thomas
  7. Secondbrooks has it right. however for this to work the waypoint must have clear LOS to the building. but a squad can be in a vehicle without LOS. when you click the white marking for the waypoint you will get the LOS tool FROM that squad. but it really measures from that waypoint. /Thomas
  8. Atleast the LAR would have a rotary asset like a Cobra circling around prepared to give CAS. Dont know if LAR would take infantry with them when doing their jobb actually, just the LAR is pretty self managable with their 4 man scout teams and LAV-AT vehicles. I love Playing Marines and I love your scenarios PT so this one I look forward to more then ever... dont fail me Edit: I have emailed Huntarr about this, hope he can pop up (havent seen him here forever now) and tell you the Marines way of conducting this. /Thomas
  9. ScubaSam, that problem is already reported/noticed. so hopefully it will go away in next patch
  10. Somewhere this topic has been mentioned before, when I uploaded the new pics I found old ones that I posted before: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/Magnusson/CMSF/1.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/Magnusson/CMSF/2.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/Magnusson/CMSF/3.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/Magnusson/CMSF/4.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/Magnusson/CMSF/5.jpg /Thomas EDIT: wtf. the blast command thread IS a sticky already! its right here a few posts above this one! http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=83992
  11. Here is how I do and it works like a charm, the troops dont pass the wall, they run up to it but turns just at the breaching point, wich is almost always covered in dust so they dont get killed. the pathing. QUICK (can be anything) then BLAST up to the wall, NOT beyond the wall. then another QUICK out of there. Walls breached! They move up to the wall, turns around... and clear out... Questions? /Thomas
  12. Here is the medicin to keep your poor pixeltruppen from run out into a storm of fire so: 1. Face command to where the smoke needs to be dropped. 2. SMOKE command 3. PAUSE. minimum 20sec (had instances when the squad didnt have time to throw smoke when under 20 sec) 4. QUICK/FAST/ASSAULT/MOVE over the open area. 5. Sitt back and watch your Soldiers run in full safety of the smoke! 20 sec delay wasnt enough here, the smoke didnt have time to deploy enough, should have gone with 30 or 40 sec. depends on wind in the scenario. Hope this helps. /Thomas
  13. Should be added to http://www.ptsdsupport.net/battle_M.html
  14. Im happy as a kid with a lollypop, cant get betther then this. I think, just because of this imature bitching I will go buy the british module in a hardcopy, just because (i bought downloaded) and I will post on how happy and pleased I am over the CD when it arrives. Happy as a bunny with BFCs policys, they are bringing me a great game, who gives a f*ck in what form it comes? /Thomas
  15. yeah, aware of that, gonna need a bit of mix-n-trix and some paintjobb on the way.
  16. I never got any cash for the skins I did so thats hardly a issue (even thoe after all the work thats put into it I wished I could ) Cool and thanks Steve! this skin gonna knock myself out in SB
  17. Ah, thats true, BFC owns them... Well if Steve have anything against it he can raise a voice and I will dropp it, just want to get SB to look like CMSF
  18. Winrar is good to go, no virues no nothing, Im using it and has so been since I got a computer in 2001...
  19. Im searching for the guy who did the textures for the Marines LAV-25, I want permission to use the textures in Steelbeast Pro, just copy paste them over to SB as the CMSF texture is way betther then SB currently. Cheers Thomas
  20. Friendly Fire Incident in Tip of the spear campaign... I had a contact with a T-72 that fired a HE on my recon team, so I sent them of into the forrest and my HQ team called in Harriers, but as I couldnt see the tank anymore I called in TARGET AREA... so 8 minutes later the tank says BOOM as expected and I send forward my recon team again to contine scouting against the ravin, and after they do that I send them hurling against the ASLAV to mount up. when suddenly a bomb from the sky hit straight on the team! I FORGOT TO CANCEL THE AIR STRIKE!!! so the pilot found 4 enemys running around the dead tank and hit them... 4KIA for me in that scenario and my eyes poping out of its eyeholes...
  21. When I was a mech squadleader in the Army we had the CVC helmet when in the APC to have intercom and then had to switch helmet to our standard helmet when dismounting... painful and problematic solution. we tested fighting in the CVC and it worked okey, but our CO didnt approve it so we had to continue swaping helmets all the time...
