MG is a module for CMBN just like CW, hence the upgrade probably being bundled. Bulge, Eastern Front 1944 are separate families.

Have you guys considered a subscription service? Sign up and just automatically get whatever is released? Not sure if that wouldn't be more of an accounting issue than it is worth, but hey I'd sign up.

All Families are independent so no you do not automatically get 2.0 on CMBN when you buy CMFI. CMBN will go to ver 2 prior to or upon the release of CM MG or whatever the next module will be called. How they price that I don't think they have fully determined yet, but so far it seems a bundled upgrade/module would give you a discount. The Bulge and East Front would be separate families, you do not ever need to upgrade CMBN to play them in whatever version they come out in. Look at it this way. You can still play CMSF though CMBN is a different version and from the sound of it CMSF will never go to version 2.

LOL no I wasn't gonna say anything about it being their right, just more an issue they may not have an NDA so BFC isn't going to disclose any info. Couple things - from the sound of it this was kind of a sudden decision. Even the beta testers were surprised. WHEN they were surprised I have no idea, but it sounds like BFC has gotten the pipeline flow going pretty good so that the lead time from idea to release is well pretty amazingly short now. Second item is we now have two polar opposites being floated about the "right" way for BFC to announce. Another thread expounded about how BFC finally got it right announceing the game and taking pre orders right then. However here I take it (feel free to correct me as I may very well have gotten it wrong) you would suggest BFC warn any modder against working on something they may have in the pipeline or simply making a general announcement far earlier. I don't have an opinion either way, I had no problem with the long lead time to announce. Just interesting to note the disparity of opinion amongst us as to the best way to go about something. We are fickle if nothing else.

And a quick nod to the guys who do the work for BFC (Jean-Vincent, Dan, Cassio etc I don't know who all works on this). You probably feel totally unappreciated maybe even worse than the beta testers from the comments on the forum. Don't sweat it, you do great work. Subjective opinion will always drive mod work, you aren't going to please everyone.

And the right way required they go quiet for a couple months which had the forum so worked up we were beginning to sound like a pack of kids in a long car trip...BFC can't win.

Capitals and bold. Yeah I'd say and it isn't about being easy. When's the last time you saw anyone deliver this big? Hell a day ago we were whining about how soon we'd get the patch (and why isn't BFC talking to us) and BFC announces version 2, upgrades, a crapload of features we have been asking for and some we hadn't thought of including new editor tools, an upgraded UI,a new Game family to be released in 2 months another 2 game families in the next year and a bunch of modules. I wouldn't say that was being easily amazed. That's like being told your friend wants to fire off some bottle rockets and you step outside to a shuttle launch (and oh by the way here is your ticket, you get to drive) as a star goes NOVA. GaJ you seem kind of....Jaded LOL

Sounds like it though the CMBN ver 2 should be at latest on release on MG module according to the way it sounds like they want to distribute it and handle costs. Look at it this way., you'll have CMFI in August to start learning the new editor and by the time you are feeling proficient, you'll have CMMG

LOL man you are always thinking aren't you? Glad to see it. Sounds like the models for the pixeltruppen are significantly different as well and may hopefully offer more options.
