    In this case it is designed into the campaign. I off hand do not know the benefits of succeeding in the 2nd battle of this one, but losing it or ceasefiring does not end it.

    You can just ceasefire and move on. I have seen folks beat that, but I can't claim to be one of them.

    Yeah It sounds a bit like a lack of attention to c2 and are the mortars deployed. 90% is a ridiculously high denial rate. Something is not being handled right if that is an actual rate versus just an expression of frustration.

    Lol well that is a whole other thing.

    Each side has it's own turn so 2 turns per "round" and the first few to exchange passwords and set up 22x2 actual play rounds/turns plus another 4 to set up the game. So you may be on file .048' but look at the in game clock to verify actual turns.

    Not really. Foxholes have always been a fuzzy matter and not fixed just straight to being in a foxhole directly. A foxhole has 4 units in an AS as opposed to a team that can have up to 6 members in an AS. The wall on the other hand is an actual representation and blocks LOF and LOS.

    Heh there are so many things to confuse new players. Hell I learn new things about the game on a regular basis and I don't mean new features. Even old ones I didn't fully understand. I've stopped worrying about whether I can do exactly what I think I want to and come to peace with the order phase just being an expression of intent with my pixeltruppen deciding what they really want to do.

    That doesn't mean that isn't what they are doing. Why should it say "blasting"? The command given isn't a direct relationship to the status indicator. Taking a one off example as a proof that the status indicator is incorrect is not a very good case. You guys spend way too much time trying to prove things using very little data. Kind of entertaining to watch though. Probably a result of your bacon getting taken away.

    Are you reloading your OS onto the new drive? If you are not you can leave as is. I did not move my OS I just freed up room on that drive by moving everything else off. In effect I have an OS drive with my documents folder etc and a separate install drive for the games. The only area where that breaks down is all your save files and your mods (depending on how you organize them) are still on your OS drive. There are other ways to organize your my documents folder to handle that if you need to.

    I could be totally wrong, but I don't think the game models that (and I am not even sure a rocket would be the appropriate response versus it's guns). Was there a drone spotting for the mortar?

    I just purchased and installed a new SSD and moved over all my games. You can just drag and copy. You will just need to fix your shortcuts. If you have CMSF when you move it you will need to unlicense and relicense in the new location in my case it only took a second as the game remembered the license.

    I don't recall having underground movement in CM 1. ASL yes, but not CM. But then again that was along time ago.

    I think that has always been true to some degree. One of the differences now is the amount of instant access we have. Obviously there is more to it than just that, but it has a definite impact. During WW2 the military could largely censor how the news was reported. Starting with Vietnam and television that started to change. Then along comes every person with a handheld video recording device and YouTube. You see the same impact on police work now in a double edged way. The police are being recorded more, but they also have their own recording ability to try and tell their own side.

    I wouldn't take chatter as a factor in who is or isn't playing it. Posting activity is not a particularly good indicator. For example I play it quite a bit, but I haven't done any screenshots in a while. Part of it is there are just so many choices of titles to play. For me Red Thunder is the one I have visited with the least frequency.
