  1. My guess is when they put flamethrowers in and as I recall they plan to do that.
  2. Yeah but no paint rounds for the Kelly's Heros scenarios! I think I'm I'm mixing it up with "Patton." In in the Bulge movie, the U.S. used Chaffees, I'm pretty sure it was M-47's for the Germans.
  3. The allies had some great battles, I can't wait to re-create those classic historical battles from "Kelley's Heroes," not to mention "The Battle of the Bulge", as long as the game includes M-60's and M-47's with German markings!
  4. Moved from Zimbabwe last year, downloaded at 4 kb a second and ran on generator for two years after my power lines were stolen. I feel your pain!
  5. Didn't Theatre of War start out with France '40? They were able to market that! I think all those early tanks would make a great game, especially when tactics overcame inferiority in numbers and quality.
  6. The TOW 3 announcement made me think a Korea module would be cool and shouldn't be too complicated to create with the existing engine and already modeled vehicles. (Easy for me to say!)
  7. Have to go Stormers, but since I'm a Yank first, when I go with animal teams it's Philadelphia Eagles!
  8. Being half South African and living in Ecuador, I still resent Oz being portrayed as the center of the Southern Hemisphere Universe. GO BOKS!
  9. As usual, it's just me and the mosquitos in Guayaquil, Ecuador! At least a Hooters just opened up!
  10. Thanks, it all comes back to me now, they fixed the other Campaigns and but removed the 'fausts by mistake. Guess its time for the Dutch or Canadian campaigns! Thanks!
  11. I am on "The Fortress" scenario of the German campaign. The infantry has no panzerfausts issued or onboard APC's. I understand this was a bug, but thought it was fixed in 1.31? The previous scenario I just played had panzerfausts issued to the infantry. Is this a bug or designed? Thanks!
  12. Hopefully someone will win the lottery there and get this one in. Going up against the French with their better tanks but antiquated tactics would make for a great wargame. Not to mention all the early brit and german tanks going at it!
  13. Sounds great, can't wait to go sneaking around with a hetzer in some future mod!
  14. Great point on the silhouete comments. This has always been huge in tank engagements. I was assuming that accounting for and including silhouettes in hit calculations was a no-brainer and in the game?
  15. Ok, I understand all the pro and cons, but begs the question why were they modeled at all in CMx1 if they weren't that important or superior? Seems like selective memory...(or we may see them in Eastern Front?) Also agree that it probably doesn't matter for historical Normandy ranges, but may be important for building scenario's where extreme ranges are possible...
  16. Maybe the North Koreans will help us sort this out! I wonder if this is because of the depleted Uranium armor in the M1, I don't think any other tank uses it? Where did Merkava's come up against AT-14's? Test Range?
  17. I vote for clean uniforms, one shade of helmet and getting the game out!! I'm also ready to pre-order just in case you need some extra Christmas money!
  18. I'm with Mord, I really have to see to beleive that you have a screenshot of a 57mm on overwatch poking through the bocage!
  19. Well that explains why I'm having a heck of a time trying to knock out ATGMs and RPG's in the Factory Complex German scenario. Seems like survivability is pretty high when a 2000 pounder takes down the part of your buidling right next to you too!
  20. Every German vet I ever met suspiciously claimed to only have fought on the Russian Front. Maybe they'd comment on red stars as an aim point!
  21. I'm trying to plan my Christmas. It would be nice to know one way or the other if I should book that trip to Tahiti or stay home!
  22. I feel more like an old vet, why learn the new guy's name if he's gonna get wacked on the next mission!
  23. Hey, since we're having chat, have any of you guys seen anything new on Normandy since NATO came out. Some Forum addict always gripes me out for missing the thread whenever I create one to ask!
  24. The one's I've seen personnaly are TOW mounted and hand held/helmet mounted. Your resolution get's much better the more stuff you can pack into them, but that adds weight, That's why all your aircraft mounted stuff looks really amazing. I assume the vehicle mounted IR is as good as aircraft quality. Even with the one's I've used, (can't rattle off a model number) if you have a lone guy crawling up on you they tend to stand out like a beacon, but it's hard to tell if they are hostile. Gets much worse if they are mixed in with a bunch of civies. You also get eye fatigue, narrow field of vision, have to watch the screen, boredome etc. So its easy to miss someone taking a shot at you, when you try to lock they've melted back into the group. Starlight scopes are much better if you want detail on a person. I'd don't know if the military uses them much any more.
