  1. It's a hull No. Whicn mission and panzer?
  2. I don't recall a mission where you're supposed to defend with Stuarts against Tigers. What is the name of the mission you're having difficulty with?
  3. Your screenshots are too small to understand what they show; nevermind, you don't see them basically because they are small people in cover (trenches, etc) and your big tanks are in the open. To see them you need to get closer. The normal course of action in such situation would be ordering your units with powerful HE rounds (tanks, Pz4 F1 are best for this in this scenario) to fire at the place from where the shots are coming from ('ground attack' order) to suppress or kill the defenders before or during advance of your other units.
  4. 1) If it seems that nothing is happening for a while and you don't get a 'finish' button at the top of the screen, most likely that some panzer was immobilized far away and the scenario trigger stuck waiting for it. You can take your reinforcement tanks and do a probe counterattack, chances are that you'll spot the panzer and eliminate him. This glitch happened from time to time on this mission, but it's cause wasn't found. 2) You did the right thing. In this mission it's best to call the fighters as soon as possible to a spot near the village. They usually shot down several Stukas.

  6. In ToW2: Africa 1943 or Centauro, run options.exe configuration program and uncheck the corresponding option. In ToW2: Kursk 1943 demo (Russian) you can turn it off in the game itself (Main Menu - Settings - Game - Smart pause).
  7. Only certain units have smoke ammo. There is a smoke button in the middle of the orders panel, if its greyed out unit has no smoke ammo.
  8. In ToW1 you get fixed amount of points for next mission set up by mission designer. Available equipment depends on scenario and surviving troops from previous missions usually are also available for purchase.
  9. The Stop or Halt command just cancels the current action of the unit, that's why they did move again and again. Hold Position: left-click the 'soldier figure' button (down left) Hold Fire: left-click the 'target dummy' button (near the 'soldier figure' button) Choose moving mode: right-click the 'soldier figure' button and choose free, kneel or crouch Choose firing mode: right-click the 'target dummy' button and choose free, aim lower (tracks), aim higher (turret) and barrage (special mode to cover the large area near the target, useful for HMGs and HE shells).
  10. In setup mode you can only drag-and-drop your units inside of setup area. To start the mission, click the button at the top of the screen.
  11. Steps are inevitable while zooming using mouse because the mouse wheel turns by fixed steps, but using the Home and End keys you can fine-tune the zoom level.
  12. What is the mission number or name? Enemy weapons are not buffed up in any way... when many (let's say 50) enemy soldiers fire at your MG nest statistically someone will hit the gunner while he cuts them down.
  13. I don't know, ask the artist? Why it couldnt? And it hit the lower hull or even the bottom of the tank. He was too proud of his invincible tank? Artistic representation? He suddenly recalled that side armor of his invincible tank is 40mm thick? He decided it is? Wiped out as well as the rest of T-34 platoon? In the same place where Russian infantry is? T-34 moved behind cover? Who the heck you are to speak on behalf of CM community? You don't have even one post in CM forum. If this trailer is smash in the face of anyone, its the smash in the face of nazi propaganda types crying out loud 'Panthers are invincible!'. Since we are seriously researching the engagement shown in promotional video clip, it's definitely dangerous for front lower hull of the Panther or it's bottom where the hit is visible or, so to speak, for its hull and turret sides.
  14. I think i should repost my comment from gametrailers here: Sneaksie said: Guys, this trailer was made for promotion of the game (obviously) and for fun, not to start T-34 vs. Panther holy war. Discussing whether one tank should've knocked out the other or vice versa in a game trailer is very much like arguing about who would win - Superman or Spiderman :)And the game itself isn't a tank sim, it's a real-time (pausable) wargame (but visibility, ballistics and damage modelling are on simulation level). If you are interested in things like armor sloping, it's effect on APHE and APCBC rounds, ricochetes and other detailed stuff like that, you should definitely try the demo (currently only in Russian and old but there is a fan translation). You can press F4 during the game to see detailed hit info. And for the record, it seems that your understanding of WW2 armor is completely FUBAR if you think that a 76mm round couldn't penetrate 65mm armor at close range. Take your insults about Russian propaganda and developers elsewhere.
  15. This autopause can be turned off in options.exe.
  16. Those parameters may be no longer used. Which ones do you intend to change?
  17. Intel video chipsets are not supported. The only integrated graphics that did run ToW1 was some Ati chipset. Newer AMD and nVidia integrated graphics may be able to run even ToW2, but try before buy of course (and a driver update may change everything).
  18. To look around, primary method is to press and hold the mouse wheel and move the mouse. This way you can look anywhere like in FPS. To rotate the camera, you can also use cursor keys (or remap these functions to other ones). Look into game settings - tabs camera and controls > camera.
  19. 1) There are ten maps playable in MP; 2) Unit number varies between missions from 10 to 40 units per player (it depends on total number of players); 3) In Kursk MP, you can select individual vehicles or squads before match from available ones. In addition, you select reinforcements before the battle (in singleplayer campaigns you usually can do the same); 4) There are several mortar types available, including self-propelled ones for Germans; 5) See answer 3. There are also off-map artillery, airstrikes. There is a catch though: calling for reinforcements and support costs Victory Points. You earn them by destroying enemy equipment and personnel during the battle (and by completing sub-missions in singleplayer). They are also used to measure your performance after the battle (so beating the enemy without calling for support will result in higher score).
  20. They are similar to ToW2: Africa ones and, in turn, to ToW1.
  21. ActionMode ( objectType , objectVariable , iMode ) iMode is HOLD, FREE, SHORT_RUSH (generally kneel) or STEALTH (lay).
  22. ToW2 editors do work in Vista/Win7 64-bit.
  23. Not the Fire mode button, but the button next to it (with a soldier figure).
  24. Widescreen resolutions are supported, of course, as well as ATI cards.
