The mission is On the way to tebessa in the us campaign where you start off with 4 stuart light tanks and 4 105mm guns I encountered 3 tiger tanks 2 turned up with panzers after my reinforcements of 3 m10 turned up 1 tiger turned up earlied in the attack along with some panzer medium tanks they made quick work of my light tanks although I managed to destroy the tracks of the tiger and knock out 1 panzer1 panzer

I am playing the us campaign at the moment if find that some of the missions are a bit over the top eg defending a position with stuart light against tiger tanks and panzer medium tanks at least in tow1 the missions were difficult but you had a fair amount of good quality armour to match the enemy even if you did not have the quantity I would like edit some missions may be get rid of those useless stuart light tanks and add some shermans and may be some m10 tanks but I havent a clue as to editing the missions I did look at the help files for editing but am not too sure I am using windows7 64 bit

If you are using win7 or vista you may click on the configuration tabwith the right mouse button and select run as administrator then uncheck the smart pause tick that was the only way i could get the smart pause to stop interupting the game

It was the medina defence mission defending hill 1 I have just this minute completed the mission it was tough

I am playing the medina mission on hill1 i have heavly armed troops with 4 heavy machine guns fireing down on the german troops adnancing up the hill the thing that frustrates me is the enemy troops stand there in the open fireing at my entrenched troops picking them off one by one in reality these troops would be cut to ribbons by the heavy machine guns i like the game i completed tow1. I find being out gunned very frustrating the enemys weapons always seem to far superior I know that there is a mission editor but i have never used one before so i would not know where to start

is there any way of disabling the pause that comes whenever one of your tank crew or infantry get killed it tends to interrupt the game play in the battles although it is good to know that you know that you are sustaining casulties

Yes that did it started the game under administrator and the settings were saved thanks

I have just installed tow2 the problem is when I set graphics options such ad resolution and graphical detail when I apply and restart the settings are not saved if I look in the tow 2 configuration the settings are there but not in the game I have updated my drivers uninstalled the game installed with the latest patch tried without patch but no joy it just goes back to the deafult graphics settingsI am finding this very frustrating I windows 7 64 bit with ab ati 4800 graphics card I rember having this problem with wow1 with xp but got around it any advice will be great

I like the graphics I am about halfway through the demo but have been halted by an 88mm hidden in the village I think that the ai needs polishing up though there was an instant where I destroyed a german half track it was a direct hit and the half track burst into flames immedietly to my suprise about 4 german troops climbed out of the halftrack and then hid behind the burning reck any one played faces of war when thank cought on fire you would see tank crewsrunning in panic some with their uniforms on fire maybe the some tweeking is needed berore the release I am impressed and have placed my order

I do not get any errors I just get thrown back to the desktop as though the game was never launched

I have upgraded to vista home edition 64 bit I have installed tow plus the uber patch I can get into the menu I can select single player the battle I can select a battle but when it comes to launching the battle it crashes out to the desktop I have tried 4 times with the the same reasults my video card is an ATI X1950 with 8.12 driver could it be this or is tow just not compatible with vista 64 bit any help will be great

A quick question dose combat mission shock force run on vista I am still playing theatre of war as well and was wondering if that will run on vista as well let me know cheers

i GET THE SYSTEM FREEZ WHERE PRESSING CTRL ALT DELETE DO NOT SHUT THE GAME DOWN AFTER THE LOCK UP CAN BE VERY FRUSTRATING WHEN YOU SPENT 30 MINUTES KNOCKING OUT A GROUP OF TIGER TANKS WITH YOUR T34,S ONLY TO HAVE THE GAME FREEZ ON YOU BEFORE YOU GET A CHACNCE TO SAVE AS THERE IS NO WARNING THAT IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN YOU THEN SPEND THE REST OF THE EVENING TRYING TO KNOCK OUT THE SAME GROUP OF TIGER TANKS AGAIN IT SEEMS HARDER SECOND TIME AROUND ALL OF MY DRIVERE ARE UP TO DATE AS I REINSTALLED MY WINDOWS XP SP2 LAST WEEK

In the willage there are two king tiger tanks that can be captured but the village is defended by about six tiger tanks and as you engage them the colum of king tigers decend upon you so you are fighting on two fronts with four tanks and some infantry.I think that may the damage moddeling is not right or a bug in the mission I ambushed one of the king tigers with three of my tanks and attacked the rear of thetank and scored kits but it didnt seem to make any diffrence at all I also tried all three diffaculty levels and they all seemed to be the same impossible may be a patch is needed as it dose not seem right even from a historicle point by that time of the war the russians had the upper hand and were pushing the germans back with numericle superoity
