Hence constant force recon missions. Especially you gotta give it to heroic guys of Azov, who, being completely encircled, keep going out and killing russians.
Not to mention constant harassing of logistics making russians literally starve to a point where looting is now an official order.

In conditions of Russian air superiority, I think we can't move large units by the roads at least at daylight. Though units of 10th mountain-assault brigade, which appeared in Zhytomyr oblast tip that there is no any impossible. Our strong and deadly artillery, equipped with modern targeting means is main force, which can maintain success of our counter strikes. Also all will be depend from moral conditions of Russian troops. For example, now their units forced to maneuver under our artillery fire and sneak in the vilalges around Bashtanka town area near Mykolaiv. They are squezzed between two small rivers and hadn't enough place for maneuver. But our trrops don't attacj them, just shell with artillery, attack with small groups to disturb and demoralize them.

A big part of it is intelligence services have a hard telling when an Army/country is lying to itself. Or if the leader is lying to absolutely everybody. So say, for instance,  some three letter agency of the U.S. government has broken in the STAVKA email system and is reading all the readiness reports and battle plans. It is really hard to tell that these are wrong because the lying originates at the very lowest levels and and just percolates all the way up. No intelligence agent thinks the way to make his career is recruiting corporals at a motor pool in some might well be nameless base on the far side of the Urals. I think they new the readiness reports, and the plans were optimistic, but they just couldn't comprehend that it was fiction from top to bottom, and no one including Putin, new it.  The people who new the most were the ones stealing the money, which is an obvious and effective incentive to just lie harder.
Some of the other aspects of this particular pointless criminal slaughter, and even more relevant to Saddam Hussein in the Second Gulf War, is that the leader is lying to absolutely everybody. The U.S.thought Saddam had WMD because almost all of the Iraqi military and government apparatus thought Saddam had WMD. Most of of them were as surprised as we were when it wasn't true.

There must be more to it than that.
Western Intel must be complementing UKR work, with airborne/space surveillance providing realtime location to UKRVSF command.
Their decapitation strikes have been far above what a Tier 1 v Tier 2 conflict should permit. Basic tactical security for RUS command groups should be able to deal with headhunter attacks. The guys getting killed are dying because they can't escape the kill plan, which itself must therefore be robust enough, layered enough and informed enough identify them, geolocate, rapidly coordinate the kill teams and describe escape routes/options, to quickly hit, trap and kill them.
They're getting hit because UKR has correctly identified C4 as critical to disjointing RUS operations, but they're actually dying consistently due to real time Western ISR.
One or two lucky kills I could see. But this current campaign of nobz-killin is systematic, rigorous, carefully selective and relentlessly successful. Western hallmarks.

One question I would have in light  of the apparent appalling state of the Russian Army ...is how much do the NATO  aligned intelligence services know ? How  has this been kept a secret  ? . Are there other branches of the Russian Federation  Armed Forces in the same state - "faking" it .  Exactly how functional are those nuclear assets they keep threatening the West with ?

Private Pavel is in a great deal of trouble, a body cast, or the the ever popular both.

Probably they want to bomb some refugee columns and then say NATO made them do it.

Well attacking NATO Supply trucks or planes in NATO space would be a  pretty big escalation for the Russians so I assume its just bluff ? . I mean if they wanted to go that approach  I imagine that would trigger  a NATO response . If they are talking about targeting supply routes inside Ukraine then I presume that would be tasks already on the local commanders list of things to do  , right after  finding a secure base of operations and surrounding Kiev .

It wouldn't really matter where they hit to disable the launcher - but it was of absolute importance to kill human filth that crewed it.

Here well-equipped TD unit, not 40+ only, Kyiv area. Most of theese guys are members of right organization HONOR  

russians won't stop until Ukraine is no more. Any "cease fire" and "concessions" mean they will just come back later.
So yes - it's either us or them. Russians made it very clear.
As for "anything resembling a genocide" - just look at what they do to cities they aren't in - but better yet - look at what they did in captured regions of Donbass:
Mass deportations, mass killings, mass graves (that they themselves filmed trying to pretend like they were done by "neonazis" and then russians just "discovered" them) - and that's just in the "compliant" regions. Where they had an overwhelming support and no resistance.
Furthermore - just look at what they were doing in Chechnya, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Syria, as well at what they were doing in Yugoslavia before the West intervened militarily to see what happens when "concessions are made".

So we should here no more complaints about CM modelling of rounds impacting trees now (the 2nd ambush AT round hit a tree....)?  😜
