  1. Most important question of all. Will the CMBO shockwaves be in?
  2. I had square tires on my car for a while, but they just didn't work out.
  3. Europa, Steve has stated that their will be suicide bombers for the Arabs, and that there won't be civilians. And considering that there were roadblocks in CMx1 games... And Captain Wacky, what if one does not have unlimited air/arty? What if one is being harassed by snipers and can't call down air/arty over the whole area? Steve has stated that the US player will have limited amounts of air/arty support. Rest assured that few engagements will play out like you described.
  4. This is not This is a reasonably realistic scenario worthy of exploration. A comparison with Drop Team is wholly unwarranted. And about the trust thing. Maybe I'm a naive optimist, but unless I've been proved wrong, I try to believe that people will do things right. Certainly BFC has given us reason to believe that they are capable of producing a quality wargame, and I have seen no evidence - none - that they will screw this up ala Master of Orion 3. And Shep, BFC while BFC doesn't state their sales figures, they have let us know (when we start to whine about they abandoning us, the forum) that most of their sales have been to non-forum members, IIRC. And the fact that they are trying to market to a wider audience should be aplauded. Hell, I bet that if no one on the forums bought CM:SF, they would probably still sell more than any of the CMx1 titles. The fact that they enjoy making money for their work is no crime. 5. I think many people imagined in their heads something other than this. They believed that it would be WWII, and were strongly looking forward to WWII. When game 1 wasn't WWII, they were let down. Now, regardless of what I myself might have wanted the first game to be, I am sure that this will prove to be a quality product, for a few reasons. 1st: It's BFC making it. I trust them not to do a crappy job. 2nd: I think that near future is a very cool time period to be exploring. 3rd: Remember, there will still be a scenario editor, QBs, etc that can either be US vs. Arabs or US vs. US, so if the campaign doesn't float your boat, you still have something to do.
  6. I think that that would be a really cool way of doing things. It would allow for lots of variation in units, which is very important for the type of 1st - 3rd World combat we're talking about.
  7. But still, to have the game remember all that would be tough.
  8. Hence all the fancy-pants new building stuff. I like it!
  9. Either area fire deeper into the treeline if you've got LOS, or else you are doing indirect fire, and that's a whole other can of worms.
  10. Just thought that my sig wasn't "Dr. Love" enough. Fact of the matter is, your sig could use a little sexing up as well. Maybe you could be the "Acting Auxillary Backup Deputy Justicariate of the Peng Challenge Thread, Baby". Or the "Acting Auxillary Backup Deputy Justicariate of the Super Sexy Peng Challenge Thread". Or something. Something hot like Dorosh's sig.
  11. Which one? There were many versions of the Panzer IV. If your child is a fan of, say, a Panzer IVF, then he is a fool. The Panzer IVG, however, is big pimping. Can you be more specific?
  12. I'm a little late to the thread, but I was wondering if Jason could send me a copy of his scenario. It sounds quite intriguing. Address alexbond@u.washington.edu
  13. There should be one with The Wiggles! The Aussies probably know them well enough.
  14. Something sort of like that has happened to me before, but I just sat there and bit by bit the graphics would come back. I've got a gig of RAM, so in my case I don't think it was a RAM thing.
  15. Who says that it'll be WWII? I don't think that the Space Lobsters of Doom had (will have?) Brandenburgers.
  16. What you don't see is the Finn outside of the frame who just threw the tank. [ September 21, 2005, 04:00 PM: Message edited by: juan_gigante ]
  17. You would do well not to doubt the veracity of some of those claims... after all, the man is certainly old enough that he may have been involved with the discovery of fire.
  18. I'm honestly not sure if Ardem is joking with the last bit of his last post. If you weren't joking... dude.
