Has this happened to you?
juan_gigante replied to Corvidae's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Do you have saved games? Maybe PBEM files? It might well be a bug, and if you got those, send them to BFC and they'll give it a look-see. -
Why are there no Russian 85mm ATG's?
juan_gigante replied to Matt May's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
In Antony Beevor's "The Fall Of Berlin", he mentions that the Russians actually used a few 203mm SP guns, specially made for the task of destroying buildings. I just think that big guns are cool, and that they would be fun to have, in addition to being able to create a more realistic scenario. Perhaps along with CMC we would see a CMBB patch that might add the heavy artillery units that wouldn't likely appear in a standard CMBB game but whose inclusion is warranted in a campaign game. -

Hmmpf! We need Jason C to come along and show this whelp what a real post looks like! -
And they need the AT-4 in case they come across the Norwegian tank.

Space Lobsters, When would people like it set.

I'd like to see a "Near" setting. Starship Troopers type thing. We're in other planets than Earth (until the SLoD find it!!!) and we can go through space, but weaponry is still fairly recognizable for its modern counterparts. Example: hovertanks. They are more advanced because they hover and have fancy guns and armor, but they aren't so advanced that they aren't immediately recognized as tanks. -

How old are Combat Mission gamers?

Oh no! Sellout! OMG! etc etc

One thing about the "U.S. 10% casualties, game over" thing is that that is more likely to apply in the campaign or in premade scenarios. Since we know the campaign is A.I. only, I don't think the computer's feelings will be hurt. -
CMSF vs MBT, aka "Peng Challenges Again"!

Come on! Do the classy thing and head over to the Red Lobster. -
Whoa, was that ever out of left field!
-
Yeah, I think if you have the AI fight the battle, you don't get to control it at all and CMBB isn't even involved. CMC figures out how to resolve it itself or whatever.

Will it be less expensive as a PDF because I'm cheap? -
MikeyD, remember that we were all Junior Members once. That title alone does not an idiot make.

I love pie!

I myself keep on wanting to call it Strike Force, but I'm getting used to the real way.

Hold up - they dug in Pz IV's? Putting them hull-down? Are these the same Panzer IVs that have turret armor thinner than corrugated cardboard? I take extra-special care NEVER to have my Pz IVs hull-down so that the weak turret armor is less likely to get hit.

Maybe he's Dorosh? After all, RND's appearance seems to coincide with MD's mysterious pre-20,000 disappearance. -
Golly, fellas... isn't this more... y'know, GF material? Being OT and all? I mean, I hate to be a buster, but I kind of have to speak up here...

Every so often, you start to get tired of it all, y'know? You just get overwhelmed by all the bad in the world. Then you see something like this: I was inspired. To know that here, at least, poeple remembered what really mattered. Other human beings. Our fellow man, who we must stand with in these times of trial and tribulation. And to hear such a declaration of love and hope come from the keyboard of one such as Seanachai, well... it warms my heart. -
I apologise to BFC for all the WW2 whiners

Does anybody remember the "Zimmernut" thread? I'm a lurker, so I do, but it was about squirrels using nuts to destroy vehicles and zimmernut being used to project the vehicles. And I hate to be a cliche, but I'm sooooooooooooooooo drunk. The UW team just lost to Oregon, and we're drowning our sorrows in vodka. You're lucky I'm such a good spellerian even when I'm drunk that I edit this ****. Yeah. -
Why not use military symbols?

I think cuteness is key to any wargame... "Men, you will be assaulting Lollipop hill at 0700 tommorrow. Be warned - it will be defended by babies dressed up as pumpkins and puppies doing funny things, but I have no doubt that we can defeat our foe and win the day!" -

Arrgh! The "Let's Dance" thread was closed between the time when I opened it and when I hit "post". Curse ye for not waiting a few more minutes, ye scurvy landlubber! (to Kwazydog)
