  1. I sympathise. Wishing you the best of luck to find a way through the arcane tangle of Mac development.
  2. I have destroyed my opponent's infantry gun team but my troops continue to fire at the gun despite the complete lack of enemy troops. When I click on the gun it displays as 'limbered'. Seems like a small bug to me. H2H, Vierville scenario, US side.
  3. I think that is a bit rough. It's more idle curiosity and a sense of well-wishing than wanting to pry into BFCs private accounts.
  4. As Phil just said - it's being tested over the weekend.
  5. Maybe a future version of CMBN RT could include an embedded window to display and draw your attention to critical moments in the battle?
  6. Except that Myst 4 was a bit rubbish - it strayed too far from the original beautifully pre-rendered environments just for the sake of it.
  7. I'm quite impressed with the loading and calculating speeds on the Mac version of CMBN. Average loading time is about: 45 seconds Average calculating time is about: 9 seconds iMac 2.8Ghz, 4GB RAM
  8. If you have LOS data in the lower right hand corner of the screen when playing a mission then you have the right version. I'm surprised to hear that you were forced to start the game in the wrong setup zone - it might be map specific.
  9. I think it is a H2H Mac vs PC issue that BFC are aware of. I strongly suspect that it will be fixed in the next Mac patch (still waiting...). I've encountered this problem on numerous occasions and have posted prolifically on this subject. If you carry on with the game you should find yourself in the appropriate set up location and not in the attacker's zone.
  10. Funny... I used to get mashed in the CMx1 series. Haven't played any CM since 2006, but I seem to be doing better this time around with CMBN. Maybe it just suits my cautious approach.
  11. Every single mortar team is regular. Every single HQ is regular. Every mortar has moved. Their motivation is normal. No unit has suffered ill-effects All belong to company B, US, Veirville mission. I think the problem might be an incorrect value display rather than a timing issue because, although the initial time given for 2 of the mortars was 1 minute, they haven't started to fall yet and I've waited 3 minutes so far. Also it might be due to playing an H2H between Mac and PC.
  12. Playing H2H. Yeah - I reckon you are right. I think it might be worth reporting.
  13. I'm pretty certain I'd see my own TRP. Here's the situation. Vierville Scenario (US) 1. 3 identical 60mm mortar teams 2. All belong to same company 3. 1st mortar team included in initial setup, 2nd team arrives after a few minutes, 3rd team a few minutes after that. 4. 1st and 2nd teams have 1 minute delay when called from any platoon or company HQ even if out of sight. 5. 3rd team has a 3 minute delay when called from etc...
  14. Same company HQ. I'll double check in scenario editor for a possible reason. Hmmm- they are all from B company with exactly the same statistics. Actually, the big surprise is the short (1 min) delay for regular troops. It's great, and probably what it should be - but could it be a bug?
  15. Vierville Mission: Looking for an explanation why 2 out of the 3 60mm on-map mortars only take 1 minute to call from any of the HQ units, whereas the 3rd mortar (identical in every way, but a reinforcement unit) takes 3 minutes? Any Ideas?
  16. Phil - are you getting close to releasing the Mac 1.0.1 V3 patch? I'm about to start another PBEM game against a PC and I was wondering whether it was worth waiting for the next patch because of the current QB map preview issues. But if it's going to be weeks away then I'll make do with what we have.
  17. CMBN is a very good game. I think that many of us went through a short mourning period from missing some of the features of the CMx1 series, but once you spend some time playing CMBN and get used to this new incarnation there really is no looking back. Additionally, the game will continue to improve as BFC further its development with the release of new modules and updates.
  18. Yes - you can find recent crash reports in: [username] - Library - Logs - DiagnosticReports
  19. I agree, there needs to be an 'ambush' command. Units don't seem to unhide and fire back even when you hide a unit and set an arc.
  20. Could it be something to do with unit experience, morale and weaponry choices?
  21. I suppose a pause button will have to be included when BFC add the 'buffered RT replay' feature sometime in the distant future.
  22. Yup - over the moon with CM back on Mac. I upgraded to a new (secondhand) iMac just to be able to play CMBN. Sadly, I still cannot bring myself to buy a PC. I really tried to buy one this time round but pulled out last minute. I know they are fantastic and faster and cheaper than Macs, but there is just something fundamentally depressing about them.
  23. Personally, I have never seen the word 'routed' appear in the morale box so I will have to take your word for it.
