  1. It wasn't before Iraq, but for the US military it is now as much a part of the gear as the clothing underneath. Even non-combat units are required to wear armored vests when not on base. Steve </font>
  2. Well said I think Steve hit the nail on the head "WWII burn out"
  3. I would have to go with ASL in the board game category
  4. 1) CMAK 2) CMBB 3) War In The Pacific 4) Highway To The Reich 5) Close Combat V CM gets the top spot, best investment in a entertainment sense I ever made. If I did the math I would be surprised if I have 1/10th of a cent invested per hour played over the years. Now only if my broker would get me that kind of return on my investments
  5. Matrix will only retail BIG movers, the cost of retail per game is crazy. And I did not see CMAK in any store in the states upond release, so whats the deal about big retail publishers. From Battlefront that sounds weird  Some of the all time wargames come out of small publishers, CDV lets get real their LUCKY to have ya
  6. I would go with Matrix That way you keep the Nazi stuff and the publisher is top notch, its a no brainer
  7. I think Steve thouched on the subject of doodads in the "A little bit about buildings" thread.
  8. Curious on how abstract CMX2 will be modeling structures. Will we see 1)Basements 2)Stairwells 3)Objects such as furniture 4)Outdoor Objects such as lamp posts 5)Separate textures for indoors How will we view indoors in a occupied structure 1)Cut away or transparent 2)Will we be able to remove roofs and walls from view sorry if any of this has been covered in a previous thread
  9. Can't thank you enough for the Sherman mods Thanks !
  10. I am putting my money on early/mid 2006
  11. Best new release or Best of all time Best WWII RTS 1) Highway to the Reich *2) CC series * A close runner up (just because of graphics) the Armor was a joke in the CC series Wow look at the art in the screen shots, any game that looks that good must be the most realistic RTS ever, I read it on the forums so it must be true [ June 26, 2005, 02:31 PM: Message edited by: WindyCity ]
  12. You got that right, mid 90's going on your 4th-5th day here in the WindyCity. Went to the cross town classic yesterday and sat in center feild, the sun was insane
  13. Turns out that the blast from firing the main weapon burns off the front tire. They're working on that. It's a particular hazard when firing on the move. </font>
  14. Mike I just came across this gem in a North Africa QB, forgot I had it installed. I got to tell ya this is one of the best armor mods I have seen. The weathering is just jaw dropping. Thanks!
  15. About a year ago over at that publisher's forums there was a mass BANNING . If CM came up in a thread it was LOCKED down, think the guy was calling him self Zzzzzz or something. Anyway if you remember back to the Flash Point release days and TOTAL lack of any support and BANNING of anyone that dared to ask a real question on the forums. That is the most immature forum's I had ever seen.
