Ive had the same problem doing a mod for Squad Battles.

My anthology CMBB is version 1.03.

Cross of Iron was good too.

I really liked Stalingrad apart from the dubbing. It sounded as if it was dubbed by the same people who dub Manga films.

In the manual its says its best not to issue fire orders most of the time. How many follow this advice? Obviously Arty spotters need to be issued orders. However should I just let the AI take control with other units thus feeling more like a commander or give fire prders to all the units thus taking total control?

Ive just bought the Anthology pack for £9.99. Mainly to play CMBB as Im an eastern front nut. However Im shocked to hear that CMAK isnt played that much. Though Im not really into the desert myself I did think the game would play better in open spaces. I find the built up scenarios in CMBB to hard to navigate round and keep track of whats going on. So if hardly anyone fights in the desert what use is CMAK as a product. What mods are out there and how good are they. Are all the vehicles avialable for the NWE mods?

Just realised that the anthology doesnt come with the mod disk. Oh well.

Ive noticed whilst checking CMMODS that soe of them have already been incorperated into CDV second edition CMBB i.e. Strontium Dog hi res trees. What other mods have been incorperated? Thanks

I bought CMBO when it first came out in the UK. Then I purchased CMBB. Eventually I stopped playing and just recently gave my games away and bought the Anthology pack for £9.99 (on sale in Virgin). After installing the amazing Tarkus interface I started to play. Thats when I realised why I stopped playing in the first place. I just cant get to grips with the 3D. Its worse in built up scenarios. I have to replay each turn about 6 times to work out whats going on at the same time becoming disorientated. I think the large open battles work fine but I do like street to street action. Im an Infantry nut. I want to point out though this is a problem "I" have. I know that there is a superb game there but I just find 3D to fiddely. I wish it wasnt the case. The wego stlye is very good I'd have hated the game if it was realtime. Oh well its back to Squad Battles for my STalingrad action. I might install CMAK and try the open desert warfare.

Ive owned the previous version of CMBB and installed no problem I gave it away as a prsent and just bought the Anthology. However CMBB will not insatll. Even when I explore thdisk and click on setup the disk keeps spinning but nothing else happens. Any Ideas? Thanks Wodin

I'm going to re install CMBB after a fair absence. Since I last played the game Ive had to reformat my harddrive and lost all the mods. So now with so many out there I need some help. I need the name of Mods you can not do without. Ones which really change the game for the better. Im sure a list would help many others who find the amount of mods quite duanting. Thankyou

I'd like a decent top own view. All the troops to be shown on the battlefield. Revisit ETO. Stay with WEGO, to drop that would finish the series for me.

Will this game ever have a WW1 expansion? If it had been WW1 I'd have bought it straight away. I know it is a unique game but so many WW2 games out there that Im finding it a saturated market. Alot of people will buy anything WW1 as there just isnt any games around to satisfy their need. Even Wins of War (I know its not the same type of game as DiF) has been taken up so it can be modded. It great fun anyway but not that realistic. Also Gus of August is highly anticipated by the WW1 nuts.

Read "Stalingrad" by Anthony Beaver. This book is THE No1 war book Ive read and Ive read hundreds.

After looking at the screenshots again, if the sound effects are great and more importantly you get attached to your pilots then I think this will be a FUN and exciting game.

The graphics look like they have been totally updated.

Very good book "In Deadly Combat" read it last summer. This MOD has me thinking about re installing CMBB. Is it purely against the AI or some kind of PBEM campaign? What period does the campaign cover?
