come to an end is it possible that Battlefront will release the code so that the ETO mod would finally get all the missing AFV's? Imagine you may be able to code in more soldiers aswell. Even if it was upped to five I'd be happy. That way you would get a btter idea on how many casualties a squad has taken just by looking at the graphic.

Its called Cassino Town. I think it came with a scenario pack I downloaded from CMMODS. Cant remember who it is that has uploaded scenarios but you can get about four scenario packs and an operation pack. I just picked out the ones I liked the sound off from each pack as it had alot of France scenarios.

Please dont delete your mods. Im waiting on CMBB se to arrive and I assure you that I will be downloading them. I love playing winter battles.

Checked them. Thats where a problem lies. I wish it stated what country the battle is set in. Shame the ETO scenarios are seperated from the Africa/Italy ones.

Air support pretty much decimated many German units before they even got to their starting points. Actaully the hedgerow fighting slowed down the Allies considerably. They just didnt appreciate the size of the Normandy hedgerows. Took awhile for them to sort out new tactics to fight successfully.

As I found out to my cost. Anyone else played this scenario? I downloaded it from somehwere but cant remember exactly where. Damn difficult. I lost big time. 200+ casualites to the Germans 80+. All my remaining untis where decimated. All low on ammo and either exhausted /broken /panicked or routed. Captured one objective until the last turn when a German crack unit down to four men managed to assualt the hill thus leaving it in limbo. New Zealand dead everywhere. Two objectives where littered with corpses. As about three German crack units and MG 42's tore them to pieces. One of the most bloody battles Ive played. Great game;)

Just paying the scenario Cassino town. WOW what a game this is. I forgot how exciting it was. My only niggle is that after about 8 to 9 turns most of my troops are tired and some exhausted. I undertsand this scenario has been made extra difficult to attack in, but it seems extreme that in 9 mins of fighting many of my men are knackered. Even some of my crack squads. Still great game. Huge blood bath going on! Those four or five MG 42's are ripping my men to shreds!

Im after Africa and Italy scenarios. Whats driving me nuts is most of the scenarios I keep finding are for CMAK but based in FRance etc etc. More a commetn really. Also I was suprised France scenarios actually worked without any ETO mods. IF I havent downloaded the ETO mod and play a scenario based in France how inaccurtae will the scenario be?

Trying to find CMAK scenarios that are based in Africa and Italy. Trouble is many scenaruos that are on the net for CMAK end up being for Northern Europe. I actually downloaded some by mistake and they worked. Trouble is being the grog I am I expect the scenario wouldnt be at all accurate in certain respects as Im playing say a Normandy battle using and African/Italian game engine. I know ther are mod sets out there to convert the game to ETO/Normandy but how accurate are these? I imagine certain OOB's are missing. Is this so? I really dont want to play scenarios based in France using the standard CMAK game IF it isnt repesenting the battle accurately. What if anything is missing from the ETO mod? Is playing a France scenario using the standard CMAK game taking the p### in the accurate stakes? Also how come there are two mods. One for Normandy and the other for after? Thanks again.

Well I bought and downloaded CMAK from Direct2Drive. Well the wife's credit card did;) ANyway Im trying to download all those wondefull mods out there (GAutrek, MikeyD etc etc) from CMMODS. Trouble is its so damn slow.........arrggh its taking ages at times just to view a designers list! Managed to get some of MickyD mods so far. Is there anywhere else that has some quality mods for CMAK for download?

The beauty of CM is how it has attracted so many new and young players into the world of wargaming. Hopefully they will go onto try other games and maybe even (shock, horror) some boardgames.

Im coming back into the Combat Mission fold. I'm waiting on CMBB special edition and CMAK. Ive seen some greta mods recently. The quality is outstanding. SO can you name some modders who's work is a must have. Ive seen Gautrek and MickyD's which are amazing! Ive never really understood CMOS so I'd rather overwrite the BMPS. HAving to choose mods everytime you play would drive me nuts. Finally I remember a GD uniform mod. IF I install this will all my German Infantry then have a GD uniform? Thanks for the help. Darkmath, I see what your getting at. Is the squad crammed into the 20 metre tile or are they infact spread out over several tiles?

Any scenarios that cover the Italian retreat from the Don? Ive just read "Few Returned" and Im reading the novel "The Red Horse" by the same author Corti. I recommend these books to anyone who has an interest in the Eastern Front.

Is the download version the special edition? I'm really after a special edition game but here in the UK you cant buy them.
