So when can we expect a Marine Module vehicle list? -
Yeah, I never could break through the mountains and take Peking in that game. Old memories.

Yapma, that's sig material!

I think for CMAK mainly by then the bloom was falling off the rose as the engine was already 4 years old.

Nice to hear. Looking forward to a possible Flak Panzer 38, my pet favorite.

As I read the tea leaves: 1. Yes 1a. Yes, the Commonwealth but also more German troop types and vehicles. With the U.S. you have fewer main vehicle types so they'll be easier to create the 3-d models once you've built one Sherman etc. With the Germans you have a lot more base types requiring more work hence we'll get German vehicles spread over more than one module. Also I don't think they guaranteed Poles with 1A but maybe they'll use existing voice files from CMX 1 games. 1B will probably expand it to more US/UK/German troops and vehicles to cover fighting through Sept. '44 including Market-Garden. For WWII game 2,no one's sure yet. I think Eastfront is more likely for WWII game 3. WWII game 2 could be Bulge or Invasion of Germany. Or we might see Invasion of Germany by the Western Allies as 1c. But what do I know

Steve once suggested Market-Garden and Airborne troops of Britain, U.S. and Germany be a module of the first game so your hopes there may be fulfilled. My guess for the second game will be "Fall of the Reich", Germany spring '45 as they could do a Soviet module after they do the U.S. and Commonwealth. Bulge would be my guess for the third WWII game as by then they'd have most of the work done already and perhaps could even offer it at a reduced price. I'd love to see a France 1940 game myself too, but unless they get more help (hopefully with high sales from the first WWII game and CMSF modules) it may never happen.

So is this thing operational yet or still under testing? It didn't specify in the link. I'm wondering if there's a chance we'll see it in the game.

Plausible Blue vs. Blue background for scenario campaign?

Alien Bodysnatchers take over the minds of US troops. John Kettler, where are you when we need you? -
"Bang $100,000 goes up in smoke..."

At least the US dollar is low now or it would cost more. So do you think New Zealand would send troops to Taiwan if the Chinese invaded? How about Australia? EDIT: Meaning would Australia send troops to Taiwan, not New Zealand to Australia. [ March 21, 2008, 02:55 PM: Message edited by: Sequoia ] -

Question about module(s)
Sequoia replied to Marwek77 aka Red Reporter's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Perhaps this will help. Of course when they start the WWII game it will be seperate from CMSF. -
Wild third game speculation. Space Lobsters!
Sequoia replied to Sequoia's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
I agree, I hope they continue working on CMSF even after the WWII game comes out with at least the British Module and I hope we'll see some more U.S. vehicles then just LAV's and AAV's in the USMC module. But Steve once said they only plan for two of the first five games to be WWII, hence my "wild speculation" as to what the third game (i.e the one after France '44) will be. -
A call for more variety in WW2 (part deux)
Sequoia replied to John Kettler's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
I assume you mean HistWar: Les Grognards? That's a different development team using a different engine so that doesn't count. The original long term plan was that only two of the first 5 games would be WWII. CMSF is obviously one that isn't, but the second one will be France summer '44 which won't need horses. No word on what game three will be, but any game pre-twentieth century would require horses. The thought is if they do the programming for horses for this possible pre-twentieth century game it wouldn't be hard to add horses to a later WWII game. As you can see the whole thing is highly speculative as it's probable BFC hasn't yet decided on the subject for game three. Last word is no horses in WWII, ever. -

MD, if I recall correctly, don't your ASL friends depict Polish Cavalry charging German Armored cars on the cover of an ASL Anuual? By the way, I too doubt it ever happened. Steve said we won't see horses ever now in WWII, but his previous line was there's a small chance if they do a pre-20th century game before East Front which makes sense. So it's years down the road in any case. -
Well I have Vista and found the rezexplode folder within the Modtools folder. I created an input folder within the rezexplode folder and dropped in version 1.06brz but after clicking rezexplode nothing seems to happen even after a few minutes of waiting as suggested by the readme. I can't find an exploded folder anywhere. Any ideas?

Well, there goes the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade scenario I wanted to do. -
Which probably means they themselves don't have enough info at this time to give an answer as to what they can do or how quickly they can do it.

So, what will be fixed/added in 1.08 ?
Sequoia replied to Darkmath's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
I'd like to see snipers be taken a look at as noted in the thread in the strategy and tactics forum. They currently don't act like snipers should. -

This was already answered, 1.08 will fix mostly stability issues. I wouldn't hold my breath for prisoners and hand to hand in 1.09 either. -
