  1. Is there a Winterized Panzer IV G (Late)? It is apparently the only German Tank I've got that's not winterized. I checked CMMODS, of course, I saw a number of IV G's, but didn't see any for the G (Late). DavidI
  2. MikeyD, Totally bitchin! Beautiful! Wait a minute, I'm at work again! This always happens! It will be mine when I get home! Gonna do the "M"? DavidI
  3. MikeyD, Totally bitchin! Beautiful! Wait a minute, I'm at work again! This always happens! It will be mine when I get home! Gonna do the "M"? DavidI
  4. Sequoia, Are you using an early or mid war scenario to look at them? They are numbered for late war. DavidI
  5. Winter Panzer Crews for SS, Heer and Hermann Goring (LW). These mods feature crews wearing buttoned up Panzer Wrap-arounds and white camo jackets. There are optional pants and LW headgear. The SS and Heer are suitable for CMAK. Again all the original artwork is that of the Great AndrewTF. I mearly cut and paste. Gettem while their hot at CMMODS. Feed back? DavidI
  6. MikeyD, Beautiful. Why do I always first see these things when I'm at work and can't download. (and why am I reading the forum when I'm at work? - don't even go there!) You can bet by 4:30 this afternoon I'll be QB'ing a scenario with both the M & N models of the Pz III series. Thank you. Thank you. DavidI
  7. Mikey, Beautiful! The moment I get home I'm downloading it. Thanks. David
  8. Nicdain, I understand and completely agree with you. I have played board wargames that I put more study into than some of my college courses. Playing any of War of Rebellion series, where every 20 minute turn could take two or 3 hours, Squad Leader, War in Europe, Siege of Jeruselm, Drang Nacth Osten, etc, etc, was a major effort. Now in my advanced years I would never consider spending an hour figuring out the American Artillery for one turn in Watch am Rhine. So in short your right. I don't think I'll play another board game ever again. What CM can do in milliseconds would take 5 charts and 6 die rolls, let's see with a +1 for sloped armor, + 1 for windy day, +2 for moving target, -4 for target size, hmmm I rolled a 8 so let's see, yep here it is "a miss". Wait did I -1 for long gun? **** better calc that again. Try War in the Pacific board game vs Uncommon Valor on the computer. Love computer games. Want to buy any of my old board games? DavidI
  9. I, for one, have had singularly bad results with 88's. They always get spotted and killed quickly due to their large size. They rarely get any shots off, and if they do they usually miss. If you get any that are being towed into the battle, they are worse than useless, takes 4 minutes plus to set them up. They cannot be moved again after offloading them. Best to park them in some corner and leave them be. If you are saying that the way to use them is to handcraft the scenario with TRP's, dug in, lighting just right, wind in the right direction, etc. etc., it kinda takes away from the "most versitile, deadly Anti-Tank gun of the war" reputation. If you made them accurate as all get out, then it might justify using them, but they shoot for s..t. I'll take 1 50mm AT gun over 2 88's, or 1 75mm AT gun over 3 88's any day of the week. DavidI
  10. OK. Maybe not one of my best ideas. Then how about a guy that's taken a direct 150mm hit? Huh? Huh? How-'bout-it? DavidI
  11. Sunray, Make mine a Water-tan pattern & your on. DavidI
  12. I feel better now. That was a close one. DavidI
  13. Mikey, Can you make a guy taht's been squoshed by tank? Can ya? Can ya? DavidI
  14. BotD, See what you started? Now the dripping needle of modding is posed above your arm. At first just a few fixes are required, but then you want more and more and...... Then you become a Modslut. The next thing you know you will be standing up in a group of people and announcing, "My name is David, and I am a Modslut". Don't do it man! DavidI
  15. No CMMODS! Went to site, no could get in. Breakdown nervous having. AAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH. WWWWWAAAAAAAAAHHHHH. Somebody help that poor man! DavidI
  16. OOOOooopppppsss. Where is it posted, you might ask? Where else; CMMOD's! DavidI
  17. Here you go gang, another Hermann Goring fetish posting; Late War Hermann Goering Grenadiers. Actually Luftwaffe uniform regulations for "Tropical" areas (Southern France, Italy, Southern Balkans) called for tropical uniforms (cotton, tan) to be worn from May through September and "Continental" uniforms (wool, flieger blau) to be worn October through April. The game does not allow for these seasonal changes, so I have made their contintental uniform for Late War (mod fanatics may want to keep this in mind while setting up scenarios). This mod features Hermann Goering personnel in their continental uniform. SS camo smocks over flieger blouses, with collars and white collar patches showing. Officers wear flieger blouses with "Hermann Goring" cuff titles (as opposed to the "General Goring" worn in late 42 early 43). Again a curse on shared BMP's that make these cuff titles appear on both arms instead of just the right! All wear flieger blau pants. All equipment is Luftwaffe. Options include smocks for Platoon Leaders and flieger blau arms with no cuff titles. Once again all the original artwork is the beautiful work of AndrewTF (except the cuff title - Beorix) , I have mearly cut and pasted. Those of you who follow such things will notice that I have a certain adhearance to the HG formations, well "Airforce tank divisions are the wave of the future, soon everyone will want them. Thank goodness we Germans thought of it first". Enjoy. DavidI
  18. I had very good success in using the ones in CMMOD's CMBB listing. All the late war tanks worked just fine. An due to the thoughtfullness of BFC you don't have to worry about downloading a winterized King Tiger. So see, you,re already one down. DavidI
  19. Totally awesome book, and extremely well written. It was also one of the few glances I have gotten into Vichy France. I was inspired to get the documentary "The Sorrow, and the Pity". I highly recommend it to you for a very good look into Vichy France and it's workings. I don't know when his next book is due, but I have saved my pennies and will by it the momment I hear it's out. DavidI
  20. Theike, Are these the same maps that were in your pack of 60? The reason I ask is that I have given brief discriptions for the 60 and am about a day or two away from putting them on the forum. A typical discription is, hypothetically: Map12 Italy44 sm town Allied Attack medium Map13 NA hills ME large etc. If they are different then I will go ahead and post, if they are the same, then I have wasted my time. DavidI
  21. Andrew, My name is DavidI, and I too am a Mod Junkie. Very cool, I particularly like the single button M-43 cap. DavidI
  22. There are a complete line of uniform mods for NWE at CMMODS. DavidI
  23. Meat, BMP for mid-war SS Mtn Co Commander right arm is 9194. His left arm is 9114. DavidI PS - on the Gross Deutchland Div. web site, see resources above, they have a complete listing for all German, Russian, Hungarian, etc. infantry BMP's. Invaluable!
