The Penultimate Vehicle List
junk2drive replied to Major Belles's topic in Combat Mission - Tips and Tricks
MS works comes with some PCs and will work or at Chris' site is a link to a FREE MS excel viewer that allows you to open and read these files but not modify or add to them. -
Occationally I have put the caps lock on for typing, then gone into the game and found the hotkeys not working. Make sure your caps are off, and that no keys are stuck. Edit Schrullenhaft, for my BFC CMAK, once I am in game and shut off sound with the shift + s the intro music is off next time I start the game and until I turn sound back on.

The Penultimate Vehicle List
junk2drive replied to Major Belles's topic in Combat Mission - Tips and Tricks
CMAK and CMBB Band of Brothers tables and charts page I have one for CMBO don't remember where I got it from. For just a list of AFVs use Chris' excel charts Chris' CM Database In case you missed the sticky at the top of this page. [ November 26, 2004, 09:44 AM: Message edited by: junk2drive ] -
Hopefully everyone has calmed down. I have two questions I would like an answer to. If I get an answer I will stop bothering with it. In the 1.03 patch are some availability date changes. Can US Airborne be changed to add late war? Ahistorical units added in the editor still display properly if your change the date and place. Such as SS mech troops in North Afrika. Late war Italian Airborne do not display properly. Can this be fixed? All I want is an answer, good or bad, and I'll leave these subjects alone. thanks paul

At www.cmmods.com AIW Middle Eastern area maps for User Interface window. Borders may not be accurate, but better than using EA, NA and Crete. Includes all 5 maps. Back up your files. Swap with McMMM.

Official Patch Version 1.04 Thread
junk2drive replied to Michael Dorosh's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
"The comparison junk2drive posted is not..." What comparison? I only copied ans pasted. Thank god, your choice of mods, this is only a game. If BFC will search for forum posts by me they will find mostly helpful, supportive, things. I even defended you guys recently as having real lives and real jobs. No MADMATT I have not designed any computer games, but I have been in automotive retail as a manager for over 30 years. Would you like any advice in that area? -
I too noticed Bredas and Berettas while checking the out the tankettes. If they are captured it would have been nice to have them labeled as such.

Official Patch Version 1.04 Thread
junk2drive replied to Michael Dorosh's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
I did not comment did I. I only copied and pasted from the information page of CMAK. Thank you for the games. -
I should have mentioned that non cmmos CMAK versions of Desert Fox, SDog and Ed's grasses are at cmmods under designer junk2drive, as is ASarge summer open ground. All of Ed's, Juju's and Gurra's mods are worth having. The number one have to have is the Italian last seen icon mod, lol
-
I am getting the blue spots with WC soft ground in some parameters. Gurra's NA desert arid and early Italy open ground mods are great. I use them in MTO PTO AIW Korea and NAM.

In a CMAK playtest with light bridges and USA 42 engineers with demo charges, some took 1, some 2, some not after 3. BTW 30m IIRC is the throwing limit. EDIT IOW it may be a dice roll kind of thing.

Can't run 1.03, openplay.dll not found
junk2drive replied to Ted's topic in Combat Mission - Tech Support
When the installer program opens up you first agree to blah blah, then it should ask and show you where to install the patch. That location is to be your main CMAK folder as in my example above. You installed the patch to your desktop and it created a folder for the items in the patch. Rather the try to paste these into your CMAK folder, try the installer again. -
Must haves: Ed Kinney aka Tanks a lot, water, muddy water, marsh, trees, wheat. Juju and Gurra's treebases. Juju's guns. Open ground aka grass: Normandy summer, Desert Fox CMBO Winter wet or muddy, SDog Dark green, Ed's CMBO Early Italy, Gurra NA, Gurra More if you request it.

BTW the patch does not include those bmps. The program must have been changed as to what bmp number to display given date and nationality. The patch does include 1907 Browning automatic pistol according to Juju's chart.

Maybe you need to dl the patch directly to the puter the game is on. I am not that savvy with these things. -
Accordin to Juju's modslutsmack, the Sten is 1924 and gunrack 25024 The Thompson is 1938 and 25038. You can make a zip to swap with McMMM.

The poster was concerned about British and Canadian bmps.

Can't run 1.03, openplay.dll not found
junk2drive replied to Ted's topic in Combat Mission - Tech Support
For my PC with XP I double click the patch file icon. An installer program pops up and finds the first of my 4 CMAK installs. I browse to the correct one or type in the location, like c:\Combat Mission Afrika Korp and it sends everthing where it is supposed to go. The exe file is overwritten, bmps and wav go to their folders, readme is there with 1.01 and 1.02. -
If it's a good battle, I smoke even more.

BMP numbers 500000-500226 are all Brits except 500215 and 500225 tank crew uh, not the HQ guy. Whatever rank that is. Sargent for USA. 4 installs all patched to 1.03
