iirc most computer games the kaboom and bodies mark the spot. kinda like arty falling in you. you dont like it, but it happens.

assuming you have a pc, what did you do when you moved cmbb? if you know how to find and open your cmbb folder you should see folders for bmp, scenarios, and wav etc. if you dont see a wav file you didnt move everything back.

AF_WSS_WINTER3.ZIP in CMBB MODS looks like the right bmps

shift + s gives you sound options in game, check that first. maybe the cmbb wav file is missing? check your folders.

eric youngs squad assault from matrixgames, a cc type rts. if i look at cm series as a board game in 3d on the screen, the dice roll abstractions are really quite well done. compared to what i've spent on other games, and what they do, i'm happy. dont know if i'd pay 80 usd for the next gen. but for 40 i'd buy it and try it.

the worst thing is you have to hold the shift key to scroll the screen side to side. but its worth it to have the set, especially with all the cmmos mods now at cmmods.

6090 is the filler building for a row of large buildings. i gave up converting cmbo for large building and use juju's excellent berlin buildings for cmbb. just use mcmmm to swap them in and out. easy. with the res sizes, i renumber bo stuff to ak, zip it up, use mcmmm to install. if it looks bad, uninstall and delete the zip. the churches in bo were smaller and some of them look bad in ak. the doors and windows stretch wide. i'll send you a screenshot of my building folder.

i have winxp, one hdd with c: e: f: partitions. cmmos 4.03 was on e: when i upgraded to 4.05 i didnt do anything special. my normal cm are on e: could be xp handles it better. if it was my last choice, i would copy all the cmmos zips to a cd, uninstall cmmos and delete cmmos related, restart computer, reinstall cmmos and zips. but wait for a smarter answer.

i am playing a battle with hills. far ahead is a pillbox. as i seek hull down, i pass the side of a hill on the right. before hull down ahead is reached, an unknown a t gun side punches the turret, kaboom. never lead with armor. send the troops in first.

btw, what color uniforms and equipment would you have in asia for the cw? seems a lot was transfered from afrika to asia later. would it keep its desert tan or be repainted to jungle green?
